Good Looking Light shoe with Excellent Support
Got these shoes after being gifted a set of lowcut boots to replace some worn ducks. So impressed with the support I bought three additional pairs. They fit snug so you might consider a 1/2 size larger especially if you plan to put orthopedic inserts. I had to return these as they were too small but they were High Quality, nice color, leather uppers, and lightweight. Also apparently Medicare-approved for diabetics. Hav'nt attempted to see if I could get a script for them but I'll try. In any event, use the wardrobe return option with Amazon and get a couple different sizes returning the shoes that don't quite fit as desired. Apparently, you have 7 days to try them under this option before getting charged.

Great shoe for the price
Great shoe, very comfortable and works well with my Plantar Faciitis. Wears like a tennis shoe, but definitely nice enough to wear on the job.The only con I have is that the cloth at the heel wears away a bit quick for me. It is likely this has to do with me and the fact I use this as my work shoe, so lots of moving and kneeling and that kind of stuff. Not enough to stop me from buying another pair!

GREAT SHOE
I had my husband shopping for new sneakers and he said mine are fine and I'm not paying those price's. I went on line to Amazon and found this Propet Life Walker, let him take a look and he said look's nice and the price is right and so I ordered. He really like's the shoe, say's it's comfortable and he wore it yesterday in the Komen Walk and he had no complaint's. We did order a 1/2 size larger and the fit was fine.

Product design changed without notification
This is the 5th pair of "Life Walker" shoes I've purchased, and the only pair that failed to meet expectations- because it isn't the same shoe. The Propet Life Walker Men's shoe originally was a well designed, walking shoe. The sole had a good grip pattern, the EVA mid sole was designed to position the foot in a neutral position -level with the ground from front to back and side to side. The upper was designed to evenly distribute stress from the back to the front of the shoe. The insole and linings provided good moisture control and ventilation. The padded ankle collar was generous. The extended depth and width range made it ideal for people who require custom orthotics for medical reasons.During the last year of its production, quality control became spotty. Poor quality adhesive application caused frequent separation of the outer sole from the EVA mid sole and from the mid sole to the shoe body. The shoe now being sold is the Life Walker II (2). It is not what's shown in the in the Amazon listing. The only design elements it shares with the original design are the outer sole, number of lace holes and the perforation pattern of the front upper. The EVA midsole has been reshaped to lower the toe relative to the heel and can't the foot outward. The insole material under the removable "orthotic" has been changed. The upper appears to be the victim of a cost reduction program - ankle collar padding has been reduced and overall upper design has been changed to a standard oxford design. If you really liked the no-break-in comfortable feel of the original Life Walker, especially if you use a custom orthotic, you may find the new design disappointing. If I hadn't gotten the ones I bought during a 1/2 price inventory reduction, I would have returned them, but at $30, they are slightly better than the Dr Scholl's sold at Walmart. I'll tolerate them until I can replace them with a product as well-designed as the original Life Walker shoe. Based on this experience, it probably won't be Propet brand.

Great fitting and light weight shoe
These are the second pair of these shoes that I have purchased. The first pair were so comfortable and fit so well that I purchased another. These shoes are light weight and afford great stability. The first pair that I purchased advertised a 1000 mile life span. I can believe it as I wore them for several years. (Not my only shoes, but my favorite). Although the shoes are white in color, they are easily cleaned and maintained with damp paper towels. I did need to replace the original laces on my first pair, but I was able to find laces that are very close to the original in shape and style. The original laces are round, not flat, making them somewhat difficult to find. They were available on eBay.

too narrow
These shoes are well constructed and pretty good quality, but if they are 5x wide I'm a monkeys uncle! The width of Propet shoes seems to have changed. They are still plenty long enough but the width has shrunk, so now they crush the sides of my feet to the point of serious pain within a couple of hours. I'm very dissapointed but it would cost too much to send them back from Australia, so I'll just chalk this one up to you win some and you lose some.

Propet Walkers, excellent quality and long life
I have had many pairs of Propet Walkers over the years, they are excellent quality and very durable. For the most part, I ware them daily and get long, satisfying service out of every pair. The store where I have usually purchased my Propet, lace up Walkers for years has decided to no longer carry them in white and I am not quite ready to make the transition to the hook and loop (Velco) model. That is my reason for ordering this footware online in lieu of supporting my local shoe store. The downside is everything I order online is shipped to me in two boxes, the first is the manufacturers packaging and the second box is the Amazon shipping carton. Twice as much cardboard to dispose of, truly a waste.
