Pleasantly surprised with these amazing boots!
I bought these boots for a winter trip to northern Ontario and Quebec and couldn't be happier with them. I was a little worried about the lower price compared to some others as I thought that cheaper might mean poor quality but I was wrong. They kept my feet dry and warm for the entire trip with record snowfall. They were easy to lace up, very comfortable, relatively lightweight, and did what they were supposed to do. I could not be happier with these boots and would recommend them to anyone who asks.

Pleased thus Far! Comfortable & Warm. UPDATED to 5 Stars!
I bought these to replace my worn out North Face Chilkats. The new Chilkats looked much cheaper, and these boots had a good looking leather upper. Unpacking them from the box, they were a bit lighter than I'd expected, and the top 3 hooks for the laces were loose in their holes. Looking closely at them, I decided they would not be able to pull out and laced them up to take them out for a spin.3 long hikes later I am pleased! Very comfortable, plenty warm, and they do seem durable. Mink Oil or Snow Seal them before use, and they are quite waterproof- more so than other boots I have had that bill themselves as waterproof.I wear 2 pairs of thick socks, so I ordered these .5 size larger and in the EEE width so everything would fit. This was a good call as the boots fit snugly enough to provide good footing, but no pinching or tightness anywhere. Finally, I got these on sale from Amazon for $57! If they last 1 year (I hike and snowshoe 2-300 miles per winter) I will be happy! They look like they will.UPDATE, May 2015: I hiked ALL winter long in these boots and they show almost no wear. I am really pleased that I'll be getting at least one more, and probably 2-3 more years out of a pair of $60 boots. You do need to wear GOOD socks with them to keep your feet warm, but these boots exceeded my expectations by far!

Good boots, fit big
Light weight and comfortable. Only issues is they do not breathe well, so sweaty feet can occur. Also, they fit big, which is good if two pair of socks are planned to wear with them.

Worked great in the snow!
I bought these for a last minute snow day trip to Tahoe with the fam. My only other shoes I had were lightweight breathable sneakers, so I found the cheapest waterproof boot with next day shipping I could find and prayed they would work. Wow! I walked around in the snow for over 6 hours with dry warm feet, had great traction, though still slipped on ice. They are quite stiff in the beginning, I was worried my feet or ankles would hurt from that but I was fine. I ended up wearing these a couple time as rain and mud boots later continue to impress me.

Nice boot
Really, my only complaint is no heal loop to help this stiff old guy get his shoes on when the dog is telling me I better hurry. Otherwise, I like this boot better than any I've bought (some still nearly new and sitting on the shelf) in years. I have huge and wide wide wide feet, but this is comfortable for hours on a concrete floor and I have a arch-support footbed on order which, I trust, will make it perfect (except for the loop). I can't lace it to the top or it chafes my shins but wrap the laces around the base of the boottop to use up the extra length and they flex nicely like that. I wouldn't complain if it had even more insulation, but that would have been off-the-charts. As it is, I put up with the 'putting-on' struggle and bless the manufacturer for an otherwise excellent fit for this 15EEE barnboot guy.

Good boot so far
Not bad so far. Runs narrow in the toes. Feels a tad fragile, I'm worried they wont hold up over the years. Might end up being a one season boot. Still, they look good and are light for boots. Now that I've had the boot for a few weeks I'm happier with it. It expands to fit your foot. Felt narrow at first but very comfortable now, and warm enough as well. I walk around in 'em all day and never regret it.

A win for Northern extra extra wide feet
These leather boots are a God send for my husband. He usually wears a 9.5 XXW, and he has not been able to find a quality WARM pair of boots in years. He’s also flat footed and is kind of “sensitive” About how his shoes fit. <I want to be more sympathetic, but he’s never walked 1.5 in my 4” heels in Washington DC and has literally numb toes because he didn’t want to pay for a cab...🤨>. He loves my heels, but again, he has no clue. So, if you have extra extra wide flat feet, and live in a cold and snowy place like the lake effect zone of Michigan as we do, then I’d highly recommend you give these boots a try. I’m giving 4 stars because he said they were a tiny bit snug across the widest part of his foot with a fairly thick sock on, AND I cannot actually feel for myself what the full comfort value is, so I think 4 stars is appropriate. For MY shopping happiness, this is a 5 star ordeal, as I have never been able to find a good quality boot that keeps his feet warm u til now.He shoveled in 20* weather with 25-30 mph winds and said his feet were warm and felt good. I am confident these are good boots and will stretch out a bit the longer he owns them. Hope this helps.
