Good boot, ugly but good

I got a job operating light rail trains and these were perfect for our uniform code. These are very sturdy for walking in the ballast and climbing in and out of the trains. Also, these are warm enough and cool enough. I’ve worn them in extreme cold and snow, and miserable heat. I was comfortable either way. Another point, I have some nerve damage in my foot from back surgery. My feet are strangely sensitive. I tried many different boots, but they all left me exhausted and in extreme pain by the end of the day. These are the only boot that my feet have been able to tolerate. They haven’t lasted for quite a year, but I wear them EVERY DAY under pretty extreme conditions. I’ve had to do some home repair of the Velcro straps, the backing needed to be glued back on a couple of times, but considering the abuse they’ve endured, I can’t be upset. It just took some gorilla glue. They are super easy to get on and off. The uppers are still in great shape but I think my weight combined with the abusive conditions have just worn the insides down.By gum, I’m buying another pair because they are definitely worth the money, imho. If you have sensitive feet, I’d be interested to know if you’ve had the same great experience with these as I have. Sorry to ramble on, but shoe purchases are such a big deal for me and these are really the only work shoes that work for me.The pictures show how well they have held up under walking in sharp rocks every day. The wear is better than expected under the conditions.Update: I just ordered and received my second pair. My feet were immediately happy when I slipped them on!
Velcro too long and wore-out too fast. They did protect a foot on a motorcycle fall though. Pretty comfortable. Moderately easy to put on. Not wide enough, but few are.
I live on a 5 acre wooded property. Not a farm but I do a lot of work outside. I wanted a boot that was waterproof, had ankle support, & no shoe laces. I hate to bend over to tie shoes or boots (probably because of my fat stomach). So the 3 velcro straps fit my need. The waterproof is great! If I get them muddy just hose them off. Traction is good. Also these boots are very comfortable! There is some protection in the toe area. And finally to get my size since I need a 4E or 5E width of which these are. I have been wearing them now for 6 months, & still like new in shape & support. I highly recommend!
I bought these boots 4 and half years ago. I chose these because they come in X Wide (3E) or XX Wide (5E) so my wider feet don't get blisters when I work long hours and in the cold there is also a little more room for thick socks. The straps are also convenient because they don't come undone and after 4+ years the Velcro is still holding. Some of the thinner leather on the tongue of the shoe has started to peel off from where the straps rub on it but it's not an issue for me because my pants usually cover that part anyway. The insole has started to come loose a bit though. The black fabric on it has loosened and sometimes when I take the shoe off the insole will come out and bunch up and require me to straighten it before I use them again. After 4.5 years I probably should have replaced the insole already but other than those annoyances it still gives enough support and feels good when in use so I haven't gotten around to it.After all this time the shoe has held up well for the most part so I would definitely recommend it.
Size is a little tight, I normally wear a wide, should of ordered an x wide. Top of the boots were VERY rigid and tore up my ankles for about 2 weeks. Velcro lasted about 3 months of daily wear before the top straps started to fail.. I feel the boot may last 5 to 6 months of daily wear if i fix the straps. It's a decent boot (buy your own insole though, theres another 20-30 bucks) but I'd not paying over $100 again for 3-5 months of use.
Comfy Men's short boots that wrap up with Velcro straps. Nice padding, wide-fit is roomy, size is accurate. My husband tried them on and has been wearing them every day since they arrived. No breaking in period. He has wide rounded feet and thick muscular calves. We ordered the XX Wide for him.
