This is a great hiking shoe. Propet run a little small so I usually order a half size larger. I have a wide foot and usually wear an 8.5 4E. I ordered a 9 XW and they fit well! They kept my feet dry during 4-5 mile hikes.
Wow!!! These Cooper Hiking Boots were immediately comfortable! I've been using them for heavy landscaping work on rough terrain and slopes. I thought the waterproofing tongue flaps would be uncomfortable, but I don't feel them at all. The strong toe protection is much appreciated during the landscaping work. The extra wide version (5E) is great for accommodating the wide feet and high instep.
A little disappointed with these in terms of the width (purchased the 10W size). The shoes themselves seem good quality & sturdy, but having wide flat feet, even the widest size proved to be quite painful after a short 1/2 hour hike. Would be nice if they made a wide toe box version of these. Wish I would have trusted my intuition when they first arrived - they felt a little snug but thought they would be ok. Return policy was well past before I gave them a good test.

For me it’s an all day shoe!
These boots are solid and supportive for just about any trail I undertake. I have a high arches and now some arthritis, and there is lots of room in the toe and lace area. I appreciate the removable inserts because I must use my own arch support inserts.
