Surprised at quality. A really nice boot for the winter months. . But the most important thing is they fit perfectly. It is hard for me to find a shoe that has the length and width I need. These did the job. Would definitely buy from again for any shoe purchase.
I got these for my Dad as a Christmas gift and he told me he wears them often and likes them a lot. They are dressy but comfortable. He lives in Minot, North Dakota so I wanted him to have something warm in the winter that he could wear to church and if he stepped through a snow drift, he wouldn't get snow on his socks. These boots work. And I was worried his feet might get too hot in them when wearing them inside, but he said they don't make his feet too hot. The zipper side is going to make it easy to wear when traveling through airports as well to make it quick to slip on and off through security.
The boots fit in every detail, (width, length and insole. The only problem I've encountered is the shaft opening is tight to the point of not being able to zip up both zippers completely on one of the boots I'll try and stretch it by using leather lotion and applying pressure.
These are pretty comfortable and come in wide sizes, but after 16 months of moderate office-level wear, the heels are splitting and collapsing, while the uppers are pulling away from the soles.I don’t expect I’ll buy these again, but if you’ll need some temporary dress boots, they’re not bad.
Bought these for our 42 year old son. The fit well and he loves them. Great for the winter.
Fit hubby’s 13 4e foot comfortably in the 13 xx-wide! He has sensitive diabetic feet that are incredibly wide and flat but not puffy. Like diving flippers lol. Because dude is picky and his lifestyle permits it, he pretty much always wears his New Balance 13 4e sneakers or the occasional Nike 4e. We found a grey chukka from hush puppies that are modern classy and he loves, but needed funeral boots in black for 5” of snow and ice coming in so he could serve as a pall bearer. (More of a dressy funeral than some others) Non slip sole was as important as fit. We’ve relied on Propet hikers before and were happy with the fit and quality for a few seasons, took a chance and so far these are great! He LOVED the fur liner and comfortable insole… required no real break in to be worn for a few hours. Looked handsome with his sleek modern classic suit but would also be so nice with jeans and a sweater. Great investment. I saw the review about the sole breaking down… I could see that happening but the non-slip and width aspect was more critical for our short term needs and it won’t be a daily wear boot. Recommend.
