I Have 4 Pairs!

Let me start by saying I have “healthy” size feet, and it is hard for me to get comfortable running shoes. I have these shoes in black, grey and tan. I have the slides in pink! I have more expensive meatier running shoes, but I ordered a new pair of black Propet’s for our recent trip to Alaska because they are more comfortable on my wide feet after hours of wear than any other shoes I own. They are lightweight and they dry quickly if they get wet. I have been wearing this style of shoes for quite a few years now and I’m glad they haven’t changed the style. If it isn’t broke…. Don’t fix it!!

I'm very happy with them and the prompt speed with being shipped ...

In the last 4 years I've bought 5 pairs of the Propet Travel Walkers. Two pair for my elderly mother and 3 pair for me. These are ideal for my rather frail mother (in her 90's and has Alzheimer's) as they're light, airy and give her stability when walking within the rest home where she lives. With little activity her ankles swell a times. She is a small woman and her normal shoes size was an 8 normal width. With these I buy her a 9W. Perfect fit as the stretchy laces allow for tongue expansion and the mesh allows her feet to breath. They've never been too tight no matter how much her ankles swell and she just loves them. For me the shoes are fantastic for when traveling and I can walk in them all day long very comfortably. All our pairs have been very well made and lasted extremely well. I hand wash them and they dry out in the sun and breeze very quickly. Next to my expensive Hoka One sports/running shoes the Travel Walkers are now the only other casual shoes I wear. I will continue to buy these for as long as possible....

Outstanding Product!

I bought these shoes for my 92 year old mother who has displayed some balance issues. I theorized that some of the balance issues were from the sandals that she often wears. I actually was in the wholesale shoe business for a number of fashion shoe companies. We never sold these type of shoes. But I am totally impressed with them. They have been designed to give great stability along with a very light weight construction to make them perfect walking shoes. My mom who never wore sneakers as an adult absolutely loves them. I see a remarkable improvement in her walking as the shoes stability and comfort has added to her confidence to walk. In fact the balance issue has gone away for the most part as a result. My theory on her balance issue was confirmed that the sandals and shoes she was wearing was leading to her lack of self confidence in walking. Where she used to want to take a cane with her sometimes she no longer takes one. The shoes are even great looking with a really neat lacing system. I would recommend these walking shoes to any elderly woman for sure but they could work for any age person just as well. Propet has a big winner in these shoes. Outstanding product!

Good shoe but it doesn't work for me

These are a good-looking shoe that stretch to fit many people. I find that shoes designed for slip resistance can cause me to stick to sidewalk and lose balance. I find Propet shoes comfortable because of the stretch fit. They don't fit me because of my extra, extra-wide feet.

Bad for Traveling and Too Expensive

These shoes are terrible. Mine only lasted 3 months, and that was with me using them to their limit. I had to throw them away after that because they were falling apart and my left big toe somehow dug a hole through the shoe. These shoes don't have any protection against the rain. The soles are made of this foamy material like the bottom of a flipflop. They have no traction at all, and stepping on a sharp object will puncture your shoe. I stepped on a nail once while wearing these, and after pulling it from the bottom of my right shoe, there was a hole. Another time, my dog accidentally stepped on my foot. It hurt a lot and her claws didn't help the torn up mesh situation. These shoes are overly priced too. At the time I'm writing this, they're priced at $39.00. For around $50, you can buy a pair of really good walking shoes that will last at least 6 months if not a year or more. Also, it doesn't matter if these shoes don't set off metal detectors because you always have to take your shoes off at the airport regardless of what they're made of. You shouldn't pay any more than $15.00 for these shoes. If you insist on using them, you should be primarily indoors in an environment that is linoleum free where you will walk no more than 1/4 miles per day. Your environment should also be free of concrete, water, rocks or other pointed objects at floor level, or anything that might role over your feet by accident like a cart or suitcase. Note that stepping on a rock probably won't break the shoe, but it hurts a lot.
