I usually have to buy 1 or two sizes larger to get a shoe as wide as I need. I find my 12XX really comfortable and I don't have problems getting my foot on the accelerator pedal as I do if I had to go a size up.

These shoes were actually wide enough for my husband's feet and fit nicely even with his high arches.
Bought these for my dad... he has several health conditions that make his feet swell making it hard for him to find shoes that fit. These fit in perfectly - now he does not take them off - his favorite pair.
I like the fact that I can loosen the shoe while driving and tighten when I need to walk. I drive a City Metro Bus and my thick feet swell throughout the day. There is not the same depth as my other Propet shoes. They are not very comfortable to walk in either, but they are working for me now until I can find something better.
