I wear XX-wide shoes and it is very difficult to find comfortable shoes that fit well. I have two other shoes made by Propet and thought I would try sandals. I love these sandals. Well made, comfortable and sturdy (I have bad knees, so even more important for me) I highly recommend.

If you have feet problems, these sandals are for you! I have wide feet, fallen arches and bunions (that I should probably have surgery on!). Not only are these sandals wide enough, but they are comfortable AND cute too! I will be purchasing a couple more pairs in other colors!

Instead of a cushioned flat footbed, this sandal model now has a hard, curved, molded footbed with an uncomfortable arch bump/support. If your wide (chubby) feet do not fit in the sculpted footbed, the stiff edges will dig into your feet, as you will be walking atop the sharp edges instead of resting on a comfortable footbed. I've included photos of the old worn pair -- the new style is also a higher heel instead of flat, which also added to the uncomfortable feeling and felt it in my knees. For some reason there is less room in the heel area too -- the straps are placed differently. I have purchased these sandals for over a decade, even as Propet has cheapened the materials AND the shoe became narrower. I would have to unfasten the Velcro straps to give my wide feet more room, which I didn't think was attractive, compared to the models of the past, but what saved these shoes for me is the comfort in walking! The original models would last a couple summers, then I had to buy one per year as they just didn't hold up even if only wearing for one summer, however, I looked forward each year to sandal season as no shoes to me are really that comfortable. Now that I've gotten over my disappointment and crankiness of losing my favorite sandal, the search is on for extra-wide width comfort, because these are not it. Just awful. I returned them immediately.
This is a nice looking shoe but their claims that customs orthotics can be used is false. My custom orthotics don’t fit because the shoe is not deep enough after removing the Propét insole.
