Great shoes for foot problems
I bought these shoes for my 89 year old mother who is in a dementia/memory care home and mainly uses a wheelchair. She has severely crossed and raised toes from bunions, and also has a high instep. We had tried MANY shoes: it was impossible to get anything to fit her, and I was beginning to think she was only going to be able to wear her slippers.I first got these in her size 7.5 (2E) They were too big.I reordered a size 6.5 (2E) - they fit great and seem to be very comfortable, - the velcro is a wonderful idea.They look better than I thought they would - the staff loves them for her, easy on and off - everyone wants to know where i got them.I was worried that the 2E would be too wide, but it was fine.I got the sand color for her, it is more tan colored than the site shows, which is good. When fall comes, we'll have to get blue color.

Very comfortable slippers!
I looked at many other slippers on Amazon, and finally decided on these Propets. I have always had good luck with the fit of Propet shoes for my wide feet in the past, so I felt these would fit equally as well. I have diabetic neuropathy and an arthritic growth around my left big toe. Any shoe can be uncomfortable, but these slippers felt great the first time I put them on! Now, I did get them 1 size larger than my regular shoe size, but that was to assure lots of room in the toe box, which is already quite large and comfortable. You really need to get the right width to assure a good size toe box, but you can easily adjust the tightness of the slipper around your instep with the velcro closure. These are great, but I'll have to wait and see how they wear, but they do look sturdy and have a sufficient sole. I would highly recommend these, even through they are more costly than many other slippers on Amazon - well worth the price!

Recommended by the occupational therapist for my father when he was discharged from nursing home rehab. These shoes are for light wear and walking. More like a slipper that works as a shoe. I purchased his regular size and they fit just right. They are roomy but can be snugged up by the Velcro flap. He says they are comfortable and he is able to manage them on and off. The sole could be slippery as another purchased mentioned, but in our case that is better since he walks now with a shuffle and he won't be going far without his walker or assistance. I would give them 5 stars but the Velcro flap is stiff enough that it flaps closed on its own so it can be a littlet tricky to get on. A medical supply shop in our area has put small Velcro tabs on the flap to keep it open. Works great.

Over-priced!
Appearance is good. Moderately comfortable. Velcro flap comes lose ~ half the time when I try to slide my foot into the slipper. I think the sole would stand up well when worn outside. Overall, slippers are okay but definitely not worth > $50.00

Might work for some people but didn't work for me.
I had previously bought a pair of these shoes for my mother, who is 90 and weighs 100 pounds soaking wet.She has problems with edema and needed something easy to get on and off an give her some support.I really didn't look to closely at the shoes after they arrived I just took them to her and they fit and she seemed to like them quite well.So I decided to buy myself a pair about a month after. Big Mistake. I wear a size 10, and my foot is wide, Ordered a 10 W.The shoes look nice, but I noticed on the pair that came for me they looked narrow. annnd they were. My foot actually bulged the sides of the shoe out over the sole. They also pinched my feet, my right foot big toe rubbed against the toe box and hurt and other than a very thin piece of foam insole with almost no arch support the shoe bed was hard like walking barefoot on a floor.I wore them for about 1/2 hour before I couldn't take it anymore.I'm not returning the shoes, I don't drive or get out much, so I'm sending them to goodwill rather than messing around with it.I will say they look well made, and the fabric covered neoprene is very soft, I don't think a larger size would help my feet because they are too hard in the foot bed.
