Will be as well-loved as every other pair of Rainbows I’ve had since 8th Grade
I bought my first pair of Rainbows in 8th grade, wanting to be like my brother. Growing up in North Carolina, it was just sort of a thing there. You wear flip flops all the way through the Spring and Summer months. Sometimes even nice days in the Fall warranted Rainbows.The brown leather ones basically just pair with anything, just like a leather belt, so they got worn almost daily in those warmer months. Eventually around year 3 or 4 they would always start to thin out a bit and the thin, worn down sole would start to separate from the leather and it would be time to buy and break in a new pair.I’ve always been a moderately sized dude hovering between 180-200ish pounds most of my life after hitting my 7th grade growth spurt, and was never a super active/sporty dude. Occasions where I needed to run or play soccer usually warranted just kicking off my Rainbows before playing, so depending on your weight and how hard you wear them, your mileage may vary.The leather ones are the nicest looking in my opinion, but when you get them wet, they feel sorta weird and sticky from all the oils from your feet until they dry. The rubber/ones are the most practical since they are waterproof and stuff, but not as nice looking and seemed to wear out a bit faster.The hemp ones this review are about seem to strike a nice balance between the two. The hemp acts as a sort of gripping surface for your feet and doesn’t feel weird when it gets wet, but still has the structure and durability of the leather underneath.I got the brown ones this time around as I had a pair of white ones back in high school and, while it’s common sense for every mom and dad that white stains easier than every other color in existence, to a high school guy, the white looked cool and matched everything….…Till you wear them to the foot doctor to have surgery on your toe and bleed through the gauze…or wear them to mow the yard…or drip a blue raspberry shaved ice on them…you see where I’m going with this…by the time I retired my white hemp ones they were red, white, and blue….and green.Anyway, grab a pair, try em, wear them in the shower a few times to break them in before walking any long distances in them, then just love them and how trusty they are. Wear em till they wear out, then get another pair.That life cycle has served me well for the last 15 years and I’ll be buying Rainbows till the day I die or I simply can’t get them anymore!

Best Sandals
Don’t know why people buy any other brand of flip flops then rainbow. Very comfortable and well contoured. Constructed well and last forever.I personally love the hemp ones best, but they can fray on the edges. And the lighter ones will stain over time and disgust some people. But I love the feel and the hemp philosophy!

My favorite sandals
These sandals have been my "go-to" for over a decade now. Solid construction (they last for years even with my constant scuffing). I always buy them very slightly small (like 1/2 a size or so). They're a little tight for about a week and then they stretch into my feet and fit perfectly for the next 750 days. Rainbow even sent me a free pair one time when something wore out before I put a hole in the sole. Outstanding product. I will keep coming back to these until I'm a grandpa.

Best pair of flip flops out there!
I'm a girl and cannot wear the ladies rainbows because they are too narrow for my feet. I ordered the men's adult medium and they fit perfectly. I wore my last pair of hemp rainbows into the ground as you can tell by the picture, so it was definitely time for a new pair. They take a little bit of time to break in, but my feet do not hurt after wearing them for extended periods of time. I am also a flip-flop year round type of person so I get my use out of them. The only thing I would not recommend is using them around water. It tends to shorten the life of the flip-flop and eats away at the hemp which voids the warranty because it breaks away the top layer of the sandal. If you have really sweaty feet, they will discolor, and I have noticed that they dry my feet out as well. But it is worth it for the comfort and versatility of these flip-flops! I highly recommend them.

I won't wear any sandal that isn't rainbow, but I'd be lying if I said quality hadn't seemed to tick down over the years. At this point, I buy a new pair every spring and by end of summer, they're tearing and pretty screwed up, even with minimal beach time.But my goodness, they are comfortable. So much arch support, I can literally run in them. I size up just a little bit, but I'd say the size is about standard for sandals like this. I have a little wider foot but the fit is perfect for me.All in all, take the review as you want. To me, the fact that I'm willing to overlook quality and buy a new pair every year is kind of a testament to how nice they are to wear though.
