High quality, comfortable and durable!
Purchased 7/2023. Near daily use and still going. I'm 6'3" 220 and rough on footwear. Love the arch support, I can (and do) wear these all day. I prefer the 12-13.5 size, I wear a 12 in most footwear. I'll likely replace these in Spring '26 as the soles are worn slick, but every other part of the sandal has held up wonderfully. Customer for life!

BEST in the world! World tested.
Ok. I do not write comments at all, though I buy stuff from this addicting web site all the time. But, I am so impressed with these I feel the need to share my experience: I am not endorsed or sponsored by Rainbow (but I should be their tester). I am thankful to live on the beach, where the Temperature doesn't get below 75 or over 85, almost year round. I have been wearing flip flops, all day, everyday, even at work, standing all day, for the last 9 years (casual wearer prior). I don't think flip flops are made for a person like me, but more for the casual, summertime wearer. So I have gone through a good amount of flip flops, and almost every brand out there, from the $25-$200 brands. I hike in them, swim with them, bike, climb, work, etc. Over time most of them break, de-lam, wear too fast, or just stink really bad. Some of the more reputable surf brand flips in the $150 range can make your feet stank in less than a week (and I have everyone saying that), not to mention why would you open a bottle, with the bottom of your shoe, when you know that's gonna touch your lips (would you lick the bottom of your shoe?). Ive been rocking a name brand synthetic flip flop for years, because of durability, comfort, arch and zero foot stink. Ive had friends for years tell me about rainbows, but I was reluctant because of the leather, I was SURE that would lead to some stink, and when it got wet it would be slippery. So I bought the double layer, delivered fast, slipped my foot in, and it was magic. No breaking in period. Right to comfort. 7 months later: STILL my most favorite flip I have ever owned. Now they are molded to my feet, give me the arch support I need (since I don't wear shoes), never a feet funk, and when they get wet they stay on nicely. (I bought the hemp ones too, but from personal experience, and my friends: they are awesome comfortable, but if they get wet, the weave harbors bacteria and they bring the funk. Stick with the Double layer leather. F'N Amazing. And I believe they are guaranteed for life? Have not tried that yet, nor even know if I ever will have too. Worth every penny. The whole family has them now.

Comfortable and long lasting
Just as comfortable as my old ones were. Bought my first pair in 2008 and they made it to 2016. My next pair made it to 2025. Also I live in Florida and wore them everyday all day. In the rivers and at the freshwater springs. In the mud and swamp and of coarse at the beach. Love them. I’ve always had the single layer sole. I’m getting older now so I treated myself to the double layer sole. Even more comfortable after break in of a couple days. Great footwear! I’ll see you again when I wear these out in the distant future.

Clearing some concerns.
I got these about two weeks ago, and I've been wearing them to break them in almost every day. It's painful, but once they're broken in, they're pretty comfortable! Now, let's address the concerns! If you're buying these, since the chemical burn debacle, I have to chime in with what I've found. I searched around, and saw a couple cases in which people remark on getting the chemical burn after getting the straps wet. I took this approach of keeping them dry at all times. My feet aren't sweaty either, so that helps. Two weeks in, and I haven't had any reactions. My feet are very sensitive, and the pair I got came from China, so I'd say...theory confirmed so far? I'll update if anything changes, but I seem to be perfectly fine by now.Another thing is the sizing. Do NOT use the standard shoe sizes as reference! The size guide includes the sandal length in inches or cm, so use that against your foot length. The ideal sandal size should be half an inch on the front, and one on the back, so 1 inch longer if you're U.S. like me. I did this and got a perfect fit.Third, be wary of the seller! Try to navigate to the official Rainbow store. I've seen several complaints of people getting used pairs or even counterfeits. Always double check at checkout. This might decrease your chance of getting some used pair or something.Fourth, the type of leather. Be wary that some colors only come in a specific type of leather. I personally prefer the premier leather because it's matte and not as flashy, but the other leathers supposedly have a sheen to them. Always check before putting down the cash.Fifth, the double layer is not huge! If you're afraid the double layer sandal is going to look like a platform shoe, worry not. It looks surprisingly low profile! I am very relieved I chose the double layer one because I can get my cake and eat it too - that is, maximum style and comfort. And finally, the colors. I had my serious doubts about how the sandal looks in real life versus the picture. I got the dark brown one, and the color is pretty much 1:1 with the store photo. That's about if for the potential concerns. I personally loved the extra style these flips provide, and the extra comfort is a plus. I'd still wouldn't recommend these for everyday wear, because they might eventually get wet, be it with water or sweat. They pose some risks, but the trade off is some of the best looking sandals on the market.
