The do anything in, pair of shoes!
I’m a big fan of Rax shoes. On my second pair now, which is the low top. My first pair, high top, still in great condition, I had bought for winter/wet season. Working a Christmas Tree Farm for over twenty-five years, it has been a struggle to not only find a pair of shoes/boots that can hold up to prolonged intense labor activities, under extreme weather conditions, heat/cold, but to find something that is comfortable in all day! I walk an average of 8 miles a day, across tough terrain. The soles have held up great providing superior traction and ankle support. The nose of the shoe seems barely worn. At the end of the day my feet don’t hurt at all and I can’t wait to put them on the next day. I regularly clean them up and wear them out and about around the city for casual attire. When searching on Amazon for hiking boots, I didn’t quite know exactly what I wanted but I knew I didn’t want anything that I’ve seen before. I was looking for something different, something out of the norm, something that fits my lifestyle of both city and farm life. Rax’s Shoes provides exactly that. They look like basketball shoes, comfortable as slippers and hold up just as good as my Carhart steel-toes. I even bought my girlfriend a pair. Can’t wait to get my third pair!

Consider buying a half size bigger
I gave it four stars in regards to the FIT, they arent overly tight, but they say true size, i wouldnt agree for my case. I havent had em long but i tried them on n took em around the house and just by a hair they're too tight for my comfort, especially for working or hiking i wouldn't be happy to wear them... they comfortable soles, im going to exchange for a size 10 and i think then itll be perfect. For style and overall comfort other than the sizing, its a great shoe for its price so im stoked once i get a fitting size in id give it 5 STARS

Great Shoe!!
Love these shoes. I purchased them for a camping/hiking trip with the family. We have a 4, 7 and 9 year old so I didn't need any real expensive hiking boot, just wanted something better than my typical running shoes. These were perfect.Sole was firm enough for the rocks we went over and they were surprisingly warm in cold temps. The temps got pretty cold on our trip and these things were great. And they're not too hot either. When temps warmed up I had no issues with my feet getting too hot. I literally wore these things morning to night. I would put them on when I got up and didn't take them off until I went to bed, no issues what so ever.So far they have held up really well and seem to be pretty well constructed. I did put some sealer my wife had for her boots on them as recommended and all is good there.These are my new favorite shoes I'll definitely be getting them again, and I recommend them to anyone wanting something between a running shoe and boot, or someone just wanting a really cool shoe.I generally wear 11 US and that's what I ordered. Nike's I wear an 11.5 and some dress shoes I wear a 10.5, but on average I'm an 11. When I first put these on I though they were a little too snug and thought I may need an 11.5, but I wore them the whole day before our trip and they broke in perfect, almost conformed to my foot. They are still snug, but I believe that's by design as you don't want a hiking shoe/boot to slip around on your foot, and I think it also helps contribute with the warmth.Great shoe. Highly recommended.

Save yourself the hassle and Get some Keens or Salomons instead.
Sent them back and got a full refund (minus a dollar for the shipping label). Cheap and small, similar to Nike sizing. I liked the look, but was unable to wear and test waterproofness, but they did not look or feel very water tight.

Not waterproof or rugged
Very comfortable. But, a lot more fashion than function going on here. For serious hiking there is also a lacking amount of support. They're definitely stylish and if that were what I was going for, then they might have earned a star or two more. However, I was looking at Merrells and this was suggested. These are no Merrells, that's for sure. And they are definitely not water proof. The leather section seems to have a spray on waterproofing from the factory but the tongue and all of the fabric with pattern is ultra thin. A moderate rain will soak through these two parts of the shoe.

Great shoes!
I’ll update on durability if there’s any issues. If no update is added then everything is all good! I love these shoes after wearing them for a day at work! They’re super comfortable and provide great grip even on wet surfaces. They do seem slightly smaller than all of the other shoes I have in a 10.5. With that said the fit is snug but still very comfortable and I think they’ll loosen up as shoes do anyways. They’re not so snug to justify going up half a size in my opinion and I wear a wide, so it should be fine if you don’t. My only gripe is that the tongue of the shoe is a bit obnoxious. Definitely not a big enough deal to deduct a star. I’ll be buying more Rax products in the future!

Comfortable shoes no doubt
Comfortable shoes no doubt. They run 1/2 larger and in order to make them cheaper they used a lot of textile to attach the shoe tongue and the shoe, the image does not clearly shows this. It's a pity they ruined a good shoe only to save a bit of leather. They have a different model wolf 100 which doesn't have this but it's not available on amazon and the rockdeepinc is a scam web. Ordered from them twice and after keeping the money for 1 month when I inquired they immediately refunded the funds. These shoes are sort of no name shoes, made on some boat probably....It's a shame since they are very comfortable but cut on various quality aspects and poor business practices.
