Surprisingly comfortable
A wonderful shoe, after wearing doc martins for the past year, these shoes feel like pillows. Surprisingly the shoes were easy to break in, only took me a few days. I did have some problems with the right shoe to tight on the upper part of my feet, but that was resolved quickly with the break in (and with shoe trees). The leather is so nice, smooth and soft, worth every penny. I love them so much I look forward to waking up and putting them on for the day. They were a little more pointy in the front then expected, but trust me they look great!! They arrived brand new and in great condition, the leather even seems to be treated, they looked shiny and smelled great. I use shoe trees after every wear, they help out a lot, highly recommended using shoe trees for all your shoes especially for expensive shoes like these. Great buy, most likely the best shoes I’ve ever owned and put on, thank you.

Solid, Well-Made Shoe
Well-made everyday shoe, and based on the sizing, and Red Wing's recommendation, ordering them at 1/2 size smaller than my normal size worked well. At first, they felt a bit narrow, but now have adjusted to my foot.Being that these are traditional leather shoes, it does take a bit of wearing in to conform to the foot--which for me had a bit of discomfort in the ankle area, until the shoe wore in and conformed to my feet. After this, the fit has been good.Compared to a lot of other shoes, Red Wing may look pricey, but they're a great investment for good quality shoes that last. I'd highly recommend them.

Great work shoes.
I got these shoes because I was sold on the style and functionality. As a medical student, I would stand on rounds all day long and my feet would kill me. I refuse to wear Danskos because they make men look ridiculous. These are great to stand and walk around in all day. They don't fix the problem but they certainly help. The shoe is tough, they feel like a pair of boots. They're also made in the USA. The only complain is that the sizing differs from the boots. I went a full shoe size up from my heritage Redwing boots after returning a pair that fit way too small. These shoes are also heavy like a pair of boots and although your feet won't be as sore from walking/standing all day, they will like the relief of taking the weight off your feet when you take them off for the night.

Best shoe ever
Nicest, best fitting shoes I have ever owned by far. Only thing that compares are my Red Wing boots. Period. Yes, they are pricy. Yes they are somewhat hard to find(no stores in Colorado stock any of the Oxfords...period. I called them all). But Amazon came thru again.The build quality is rock solid. Old school craftsmanship. Made in USA(Only thing I will buy). And ahhhh, that smell of new leather when you open the box...perfect.I read a lot of reviews and opinions on sizing, as obviously I couldn't try them on. Most said they ran large. My Red Wing boot size was, and always has been 11EE. But the Oxfords are not offered in widths. So I believed what I read and ordered 11D. Perfect. Break in was not even a full day. In fact, they felt great right away, and just got better from there.Great job Red Wing....So maybe now you can work on lowering the price a little? LOL..no, I have no complaints.

My new favorite pair of RedWings
Top notch quality. Compared to the RW Chukka these fit as expected. The break in period is a little harder than my other RedWings due to the low tops hitting/rubbing my ankles. Other than that they have been fantastic. The ankle rubbing should subside after break-in. I love the rough out leather. Way more durable than one might expect.
