Quirky but I like them a lot
So I have several different pairs of crossfit shoes now. I think I keep looking for that "it" shoe that I can wear for most WODs and not have to keep switching shoes. I currently have the Nano 6.0, Asics Fortius Tr, Asics Metconvition, and Addidas Powerlifts. I bought these because they were on sale and liked them so much I bough a couple pairs for my friends as well! First of all they look waaaay different than any of the other shoes out there. People kept asking "what are they?". Are they a lifter? Not quite. Are they a true crossfit shoe? Not quite either. They are something in between. 5they are as comfortable as a pair of basketball shoes but at stable as a crossfit shoe. The raised heel is similar to a lifter but not super firm, and the forefoot flexes well. They aren't too heavy and running doesn't feel bad at all. I guess these are meant to fill that niche between true lifter and true crossfit shoes and they do that extremely well. My squats and Olympic lifts felt great and I got the support and no slippage I would expect with a lifter, but I was able to quickly transition into HSPU and box jumps with no problem and most importantly: no discomfort. If you are looking for your first crossfit shoe or just a new one or even something different you should consider giving these a shot. Especially if they are on sale! Why say no when it feels so good to say yes?
