Disappointing Sizing, Comfort, and Durability
I recently purchased the Reebok Work Men's Dayod RB1735 Safety Shoe in black and unfortunately, I can only give it a rating of 1 out of 5 stars.Firstly, I found the sizing to be very off. I usually wear a size 10, but when I tried on the RB1735, it felt too tight in the toe box and too loose in the heel area. I tried wearing thicker socks to see if it would help, but it still felt uncomfortable.In terms of comfort, the RB1735 fell short as well. The insoles were not cushioned enough for my liking and I found that I was getting foot fatigue after just a few hours of wearing them. Additionally, the shoe is quite heavy and not very breathable, so my feet were getting quite sweaty and uncomfortable.On top of the sizing and comfort issues, the RB1735 also didn't seem very durable. The stitching on the sides of the shoe started to come apart after just a few days of wear, and the toe box area started to scuff up and lose its color.The one positive aspect of the RB1735 is that it does provide good protection. The steel toe cap and slip-resistant sole seem to be well-made and I feel confident wearing them in my workplace. However, the poor fit and lack of comfort outweigh this one positive aspect.Overall, I cannot recommend the Reebok Work Men's Dayod RB1735 Safety Shoe in black. The sizing is off, the comfort is lacking, and the durability is questionable. There are better options out there for safety shoes.There are several parameters to consider when choosing the best safety shoes:1. Great everyday safety toe work shoe
If you are required to wear safety toe shoes but don't like heavy, thick soled boots, these will fill the bill. I have worn several different brands of work boots including some high end American made boots with the aftermarket insole recommended by the salesman, and I find them all uncomfortable.Give me a flat soled shoe with adequate cushion and a roomy toe box and I'm happy. These meet those requirements, and I am perfectly happy with them. My last work shoes were Converse Work, which are apparently now being sold as Reebok Work with a few changes to the line. These do not look like safety shoes at all, more like a basketball shoe. The toe box is so roomy that my toes never feel crowded.The only issue I have is the squeaky sole. They squeak loudly on smooth flooring, but they also grip well. Not the best sole if you are in mud and dirt, which I occasionally am. The sole holds on to mud until it begins to dry, at which point it is shed out with every step making a mess if you are inside.Bottom line, I will be buying these again if they're still available when I need to replace my current ones. I've been wearing them daily for a couple of months now, and they still look great, don't show any signs of premature wear.

The Best Work Shoe
Years ago I was working at the Shamrock Foods warehouse, and I needed a safety-rated boot but I had to run all night long. I discovered these and I’m never going back to boots. I wore them for years through working for Security and never got in trouble for violating the dress code. I work maintenance now and they’re still perfect.Along with some insoles they’re far more comfortable than any boots I’ve ever worn. I’m convinced they’ve added years to my fitness and joint health.Even though they’re not advertised as waterproof; I’ve worn them through monsoons and my socks stayed dry.About the only thing they’re not good for is hiking.I buy them over and over again (maybe 4 or 5 times over the years, they’re durable) and I’ll keep buying them as long as they keep making them. Highest recommendation.

Great shoe for a great price!!!
Since getting my job at the factory, I've gone through multiple toe protected boots. I started with big composite toe boots because it was winter and I could use them in the snow, then I got nice steel toe boots to look nice when I'm dressed up nice, but then summer came and neither worked.Enter this shoe. Totally comfy, breathable, sturdy, trendy, and still protects my toe. The soles help resist static electricity and I haven't gotten shocked in a while. They also feel nice on my motorcycle. They can grab the road (though the shoe doesn't sit well on the foot pegs as it's just a flat bottom shoe) easily, even in greasy or wet conditions.The only complaint is that my toes do tend to slap the top of my shoe when I walk. It's a low profile steel toe so my toe nails can feel it if I have to walk long distances between and through plants. I have narrow feet so I may be alone on this problem.Overall, it's an amazing shoe and I would buy then again.EDIT: After a year, my heels creates holes on the inside fabric that started to change my feet. Shoes should be able to be built to last at least a few years before they fall apart. I still have an old pair of Nikes that I bought in 2004 that are holding up great. (It is currently 2019 as I'm writing this). Since the shoe doesn't hold up long enough, I deduct one star and will not be buying again. :(
