Great sandals for those with achey high arches
*** UPDATE 5 YEARS LATER. I've now worn the heck out of these, I love them so much, why are they hard to find?! Sometimes sold out. but these are the best sandals I've ever worn, considering buying 5 pairs and squirling them away. They are super durable, I wear them all the time, and you would never know looking at the soles, The only place they wear is on the top where your feet connect. But that is due to skin on sandal, sweat, wear, water etc... they usually last me about 2-3 years of pretty heavy use. your mileage may vary. I love, love, love these sandals.Scooped these up about 6 months ago and let me tell you they are life-changing. I've been wearing primarily sandals for about 20 years. Going to UCSB will do that to a person. I was fanatical about wearing rainbows, but my feet were starting to hurt a lot. Undiagnosed plantar fasciitis is what I suspect. Flat sandals regular insoles in my shoes, lots of time on my feet. But then I started wearing plantar fasciitis inserts and feet hurt less, bought these sandals and feet hurt even less! So I basically live in these sandals now. Even if I could be barefoot around the house... I'd rather wear these. I do wear the hell out of them, but they seem to wear pretty quick. The sole seems fine, but the top part seems to be wearing quick. But either way, I would highly recommend these if you have a high arch, or just sick of wearing super flat sandals.

Soft comfortable sole, very high arch
I was hesitant about the price but the sandals are high quality and seem like they will last a while. As stated, they do have very high arch support. I have flat feet so I like the arch but it's high enough that is makes my step feel slightly tilted outward away from the arch. Long term I think they will wear in well but it's the highest arch on any sandal I've had. Picked these over Birkenstock for their basic flip-flop styling and they definitely compete well for arch support. The sole is extra soft and comfortable, the strap of the flip flop fits nice and snug.

Excellent arch support!
I have ballet dancer arches, and I rarely find shoes, let alone flip-flops, with enough arch support. Though I don't normally buy Reef products, I took a chance on these given reviews, and I am really glad I did! These flip-flops have outstanding support and cushioning. If I have two complaints, they are that 1) the strap looks and feels a bit cheap, and 2) they run small (I would recommend ordering a half-size larger). These are of course more expensive than your basic flip-flops, but if you're reading this review, you've probably already decided that you are willing to pay for something with extra comfort, and these will not disappoint.

Comfortable but very tight on the foot, made for smaller mammals.
I'm a larger mammal, with larger wider feet. When I first tried these on they felt tight but were so comfortable I thought they'd break in over time, seems reasonable. Weirdly they fit my foot, a size 10, and had great arch support. I really liked them although they fit snugly. That may not be an issue for most people but my wider feet appeared to be aggravated by the snugness, with one of my feet developing a bunion. It happens to the best of us over time, not blaming the flip flops, and I really like Reef as a company. I've been wearing their gear since I was a kid surfing at Mission Beach in SD. Unfortunately I realized I couldn't wear these. If you're a smaller fella with smaller narrower feet (meaning not wide feet) these will be fine for you. Unfortunately they didn't work out for me. Still providing a positive review because I love the company.

Pretty good arch support, not alot of cushion
These are kinda stiff when new and loosen up fairly quicklyThe arch support is firm.Heel is cupped.There is little cushion for the foot.Sizing ( 11 ) is accurate.These are good when wet, both at the foot and the sole to floor.If these work for you but you need more cushion the Oofos recovery sandals are great- except when wet !

Much narrower than other Reef sandals
Much narrower than the same size in other Reef styles. My toes were hanging off the side of a size 12… the length was OK, the thong was OK, but way too narrow.In the photos you can see one is much narrower than the other.
