Already thinking about getting a second pair. They’re that good.
these reef ramblers are super comfortable.cushion-wise, they sit somewhere between a normal sneaker and a maximalist shoe. the fit is quite snug without being tight at all. at first i didn’t think i’d be able to get them on while wearing normal athletic socks, but turns out i just needed to wear them on my bare feet for a few hours to “break them in”. this is a good thing, because i don’t think the insoles can be removed, and the shoes are suede anyway so washing them is out of the question.they feel soft around my feet, either or without socks, which means they’re my new pair of house slippers, even though i bought them intending to wear them as shoes.the tightening string doesn’t seem to do much; it’s more decorative than anything, but it adds a nice detail to the shoe.the ramblers aren’t heavy at all, and the neutral color i bought goes with a fair amount of my wardrobe, so i wear them out a couple of days a week.i can’t speak to their durability, as i’ve only had them less than a month, but a close visual inspection suggests that they’re really well-made.this is a versatile shoe that i highly recommend to anyone looking for something classically stylish that’s comfortable to wear around the house in your PJs but also complements cargo shorts, jeans, or khakis.i’ll probably end up getting a second pair at some point in a different color.

Great, but the price sucks.
Fantastic look and exactly what I was looking for. Removal of a star for price. They’re just too expensive for what they are. These should realistically be about half of what they go for. Let’s call it what it is- It’s a glorified Walmart versatile house slipper with good looks that you can also wear outside. Next to no grip on the bottom and the midsole feels cheap, but all that to say, they are comfy and look awesome which I suppose is all that matters. BUT all the comfort of this shoe comes from the memory foam insoles that I can already tell are probably gonna flatten and lose all comfort in a month or 2. The pull string tab on the top is useless. No, it doesn’t tighten/loosen the fit. It’s all for looks. Pretty tight at the toe height wise because the memory foam insole is so thick, but I’ve read that loosens up over time just like any other shoe as you break them in. As others have said, they’re a little bit harder to put on than you would think which really negates the whole point of these styles of shoes.All in all, I’m happy with ‘em and I’ll keep ‘em. But that price is what’s keeping me from giving it 5 stars. I say buy ‘em, but just keep in mind what they are.
