Stylish lug-sole oxfords with a great matte finish
These shoes are really nice looking. They have a chunky lug sole that gives them an edgy silhouette. They arrived in a drawstring bag, which is a nice touch for storing and keeping them dust-free. I ordered the black pair and was happy to see that they’re a matte black rather than shiny, which is a little more versatile in my wardrobe.Fit-wise, I would consider them true to size. I ordered my usual size and they don’t feel tight at all, and the rounded toe box is comfortable, especially if you like a bit of extra room or plan to wear thicker socks. It’s a different profile from the square-toe, lower-profile shoes I usually gravitate toward, but it creates a strong silhouette and looks great on.Out of the box, the shoes are a bit stiff, which is expected, and they do have some weight to them. That stood out more because I had been wearing loafers beforehand, so the contrast was noticeable. I expect they’ll break in nicely with wear.One small detail worth mentioning is the round shoelaces. They look good, but they’re more likely to come untied than flat laces. I plan to swap them out, which is an easy personal preference fix rather than a flaw with the shoes themselves.All in all, these are well-made, nicely designed shoes with a chunky, stylish presence. If you like lug-sole footwear and don’t mind a bit of extra weight, they’re a solid choice that works well with a lot of outfits.
