Had to return them but mostly nice boots

I like how they looked. However they didn't fit me. Depending on the company, I am somewhere between 9.5 and 10.5 men's (US size). This company only had 9.5 and 10.5 available; the 9.5 was just a bit too small with the front of my big toes touching the wall of the shoe, and the 10.5 was too big and creased a bit every time I took a step. Also the comments about the prevailing smell were no joke, both pairs of boots smelled sour, something like spoiled tangerines. Again though, if there was a size 10 and the boot fit me, I would have tried to eliminate the odor and would have kept it for sure, they looked great.

assist loops are fake, shank really tight.

What look like loops for pulling the boot on are just a decoration, not actually a loop.Tight shank makes tucking trousers into boot shanks difficult. tight toe box. boots rise to about mid-calf.I'm usually a 9.5 and the fit is a little too short for my foot. My toes run into the front of the toe box.
