ALMOST PERFECT EXCEPT FOR IT BEING EXTREMELY DANGEROUS !!

Very warm and snug. A bit heavy on my feet. I actually really loved these boots. They looked good, they felt good and they kept my feet warm.HOWEVER, there were at least 3 times that the semi open hooks (that hold the laces) hooked to each other while I was walking and ALMOST made me trip.Two of these 3 times I was walking down a set of stairs.ONE of these 2 times I actually FELL down the stairs!Luckily, the set of stairs I ALMOST tripped and fell down was the longer set of stairs (one of those historic old townhouse stairs in Brooklyn ...yea thank god I didn't fall down that one)The one I actually FELL down was just about 5 stairs and it was at my job.The hooks in the boots hooked together while I was rushing down the stairs to clock in and when I went to take another step I couldn't and I fell forward ....I'll leave out the details but it was NOT pretty and I was in a lot of pain for the next couple of weeks. I had to take a few days off from work as well.Prior to the fall, there were MULTIPLE times that these boots ALMOST hooked together but it didn't catch enough for it completely hook and cause me to fall.It's kinda hard to explain but, if you take a closer look at the pic you will see that the hooks for the laces are open and I honestly thought it was cool at first ..the style ..but it is SOOOOO dangerous its not even funny.I got rid of the shoes ...even though I loved everything else about them.FYI, this incident happened about a year to a year and a half ago ...I didn't think to write a review but then I thought what if I had fell down the higher stairs ...I could have really really hurt myself ...Then I thought what if it happens to someone else and THEY really really get hurt ...I was seriously just thinking about it ...I was just about to fall asleep and I was like no ..something tells me i need to write this review now ...because it may help save someone ..Again, everything else about the boots are perfect ...except its a tiny bit heavy on the feet ...but not even a huge issue ...I just think it is extremely dangerous ..that style it has with the semi open hooks ...and if the company is reading this right now ...you guys should really REALLY change that feature about your boot/s.Best,Krystal.

I didn't give a 5 star review only because I prefer a little more softness under my feet! They are NOT uncomfortable at all even though I was skeptical at first. I have worn them in 8+ inches of snow to play with the dog and lots of walks in the rain and my feet stay dry with or without socks. Not too heavy and after ordering and returning at least 1/2 dozen pairs of OTHER brand boots I am very pleased with my purchase of RockMark. I also like the way they look as I wear a size 10 but they don't make my feet look huge LOL

These boots fit well and are quite warm. They have great grips for walking in snow, and I'm sure to get lots of use from them. Due to the extra thick insulation, they do make your feet look bigger.
