These are good quality sandals. Well made, comfortable with cushion foot bed. I like the leather uppers. The sandals were a little tite at first, but after several days of wearing them I broke them in and they now feel fine. I Suggest getting wide size if you have wide feet. I'm also a first time buyer on Rockport shoes.

Not Comfortable Right Out of the Package

I've never worn slide sandals before so this pair is my first experience. I read the reviews and was concerned with sizing. I have a couple of pair of Rockport shoes and both are size 10 and are just right. I also have a pair of Rockport thong sandals in size 10.5 that fit very well. The foot bed on the thong sandals looks very similar to the Rockport slide sandals I bought, so I bought size 10.5. As far as length is concerned, the size 10.5 in the new sandals has room to spare if the foot could be properly placed on the foot bed. The weak point of the sandal is the slide body that is both too narrow and does not have the height to allow the foot to slip forward into the sandal. The slide body is leather and leather stretches some and in a couple of days of wear, the foot is now sliding in a little farther. I hope there is a little more stretch in the leather but right now it's close but not quite there yet to really being comfortable. With the foot bed already having extra room relative to the length of my foot, I don't think going up a size is the solution. These sandals may wear in with time but they are not comfortable right out of the package (a plastic bag instead of a box).
