Finding dress shoes for me is nearly impossible, I have to have a completely flat heel, so because of that I am unable to wear women's dress shoes (the heels taper in making it more narrow than the foot bed.)Over the years I have bought and returned countless shoes trying to find ones that do not kill my feet at the end of a 9 hour standing shift.I have a nerve disorder that affects the function of my left leg and foot, so injuries are very common for me. ( ankle sprains, pulled ACL, subluxation of my knee cap, dislocated metatarsals to name a few) so finding shoes that are comfortable and structurally sound for my body mechanics is very difficult.I have had these shoes about a week, and I think I have finally found a shoe that will work and be comfortable. It was extremely tight when I first put them on and I almost returned them, I am glad I didn't. Metatarsal was out of place once it went into place the shoe was still tight but not as bad. I broke them in a few hours at a time and after 3 days they feel snug but comfortable. The are the first pair of shoes in 8 years I have not had to change out the insoles for different ones with more cushion.I am still breaking in these shoes but at this point I believe I have finally found a shoe that I can wear comfortably and looks good.These shoe are structurally sound, the soles are strong (not a flimsy material) they will last with constant wear, the leather is soft but does not collapse, insoles are thick and flexible they are molding to my foot structure, and bounces back to original shape when not being worn. (Which I love because with the bones in my feet shifting positions they adjust with my feet).If these shoes can work and be comfortable for me, they should work for anyone.I have already ordered two more pair of these shoes. I am just hoping Rockport does Not discontinue this shoe.

good quality shoe
I have had this shoe for over 7 years and the old pair finally came apart. I wore them almost every day as they were very comfortable and not very expensive. I was surprised to find they still make this show and bought them as a replacement. They fit well though maybe a 1/4" shorter than my old pair. Also the leather does have a very slight pebble effect which my old ones did not, but I like the looks of the new ones better. Same cuts and stitching. I expect these to be as comfortable as the old ones and hope they will last 7 years. What gave out on the old pair - heels wore down and the right sole separated. I glued it back so I could keep these as a backup or wear around the house shoes....GREAT SHOE!

Good - just not for me
Rockport makes GREAT shoes and this one was no exception - however.... I got the shoes and they didn't fit. I am a ROCK SOLID 10.5 in men's shoes and these were too big by probably half of a size at least. Also, I ordered the textured black leather product and what I got looked like the smooth black leather choice - the shoe didn't look at all like the shoe pictured. The picture shows the shoe with a lower profile, sleek look to them with the shiny black textured leather. My shoes had a dull, smooth black leather look to them and they were bigger and "block-y" in profile. Lastly, and probably not a big deal but a little disappointing to me, they came shipped in the shoe box taped up - that's it. And the box was torn and the shoes exposed to the elements through the template holes in the shoebox - just not really a classy or quality look. Otherwise, its a quality shoe made of real leather. I am sure they are comfortable as the felt good on my foot, just too big. If they fit and they achieve your desirable look, they are worth the selling price - I sent mine back. The return process was super-smooth and efficient.

Quality dress shoes with little sole support
These are dress shoes with thin soles. I was hoping for something sturdier, like the good old Rockport walking shoes. Do they still make those?These may be fine for office wear, for folks who don't go far from the desk. They look good and are well-constructed.I returned them - not for me.

I bought these for my job (teaching), and they were sooooo comfortable that I decided to use them for my vacation to Europe.
