Great shoe, classic style, comfortable and wide
Great shoe with excellent fit for someone with exceptionally wide feet. As with most any brand the footbed lacks support which was easily corrected with a Dr Scholl’s insole. What impressed me the most with this shoe is the overall fit and finish as well as the comfort for extended wear with proper insoles. First time out with these shoes I wore them for 16hrs without blisters or issues. Of all the brands I have previously tried that claimed to be “wide” width were not, these actually are.

Great Looking and Waterproof!
Great Shoes! This is my second pair. The first is cordovan and looks / wears really well. Holds a shine and are waterproof! I use them for both business and casual. These black shoes are a clone. Comfortable, easy to care for and waterproof! I get complements from a wide variety of folks that like both the style and the shine. I have wide feet and these 12 E's fit to a "T". The soles and heels are perfect for the snowy and wet weather here in the northeast and are replaceable. I had a pair of Chaps that SQUEAKED. Tried everything .. they still SQUEAKED. They would wake people up at the airport! Someone from a thrift shop is now wearing squeaky shoes. I'm wearing the real thing! Enjoy your Rockports!

Good look and fit, but soles wear quickly
As a chef in a corporate environment, I wanted shoes that reflected professionalism. They look great in the kitchen and in the office. The soles, however, have worn down quickly within the four months I've worn them. They have worn down to the point of no longer being slip resistant.Apart from the sole issue - I average about 15,000 steps a day across the kitchen floors and the shoes remain decently comfortable. They fit just as well as they did fresh from the box, and show no other signs of wear. If you don't plan to use them as much as I do, they're perfectly fine.

Best on the market w/ some room for improvement
This is my 3rd pair of the same shoe. Overall it’s the best non-slip dress shoe that currently exists on the market. It looks and feels great and comes in several width options. Here are my objective criticism after going through 3 pairs (currently on my 4th):1. Arch support is minimal. I have higher than regular arch BUT I have many other shoes that do a better job to give me proper support than these Rockports. In fact, even after fully broken in, my feet begin to ache after an hour or two, so I have to use Dr. Scholl’s Extra Arch support insoles to mitigate the damage. I spend around 6 hours at night on my feed and I was expecting more for the price out of the box.2. The tread wears out quick, and it’s very consistent though all the pairs I’ve owned. It’s great at first and non slip works like magic but after a month or two you begin to see noticeable wear. Mind you, I work on carpeted floors most of the time, not concrete or any other rough surface, and you can expect to get about 10 months to a year out of them.Otherwise they hold up great and with proper care will last a pod time. With my schedule, I go through a pair a year, working 4-5 nights a week on average.I will buy them again simply because there aren’t any good enough alternatives at the moment. Hope the points in this review will help you make an informed decision.

Great shoe overall, just not built for longevity.
The shoe is true to size when it comes to going off the Euro sizes. That's how I order shoes online! It looks professional and I've gotten compliments on them. But they don't last long. My bf loves them and gets a new pair every 2-3 months being a unit manager at waffle house. The soles give and separate and his feet start to get wet with the regular mopping they do. Mine separated from the sole as well with all the bending down/kneeling and reaching up I did at my job. (Assistant grocery manager) I was there for 3 months and the last month I wasn't planning on being there much longer so I didn't reorder a pair because I don't need slip resistant shoes. They're not suitable for high arch people and buying an insert. I would recommend the half size up because the shoe lace section dug into the top of my foot and bruised me for a month until they finally stretched out! Great shoe overall, just not built for longevity. But what shoe is anymore?

Quality & Comfort
Despite the inherent quality, these shoes are light-weight. They also give me traction in wet conditions that my former shoes were lacking. I like the look and the quality materials used. The water-proof feature was also what I sought. The "D" width also fits my narrow foot nicely. So many other shoes with generic (one size fits all) widths, are always too wide for me as evidenced by the fact that the the two sides that get laced together are butted up against one another or even overlapping.Hoping to get great use out of these for a few years.

Great shoes for Wide Feet! Beware there may be some quality control issues.
UPDATED REVIEW - INITIAL REVIEW BELOWAfter 3 months - the replacement shoes I received have completely fallen apart - The sole in the right shoe just disintegrated. Having been a long time Rockport customer, I am disappointed that their standards have dropped so far. I will no longer purchase Rockport Shoes.---------------------------------I had to return my first pair of these shoes because the left shoe made an embarrassing popping noise with each step I took. Amazon made that process easy and the replacements are perfect! The replacements were wonderful - they look very dressy and are super comfortable. I wear them daily I will buy them again!
