These are GOLF shoes

The labeling of the box and the tags attached to the shoes indicate these are waterproof GOLF shoes from Rockport. This is not stated anywhere in the description. They are very well constructed, all leather shoes. They are imprinted with the Rockport term HydroShield waterproofing. The shoes are, however, very heavy. I would estimate they weigh twice as much as the Rockport Ubal TruFlex and TotalMotion shoe lines I own. They also come with black shoe laces for a slightly less sporty look in order to wear with slacks and a blazer.

Good quality from a known brand.

Genuine leather only from Rockport. Not the synthetic stuff or bonded that would fray and loosen but durable leather hide. It comes with two sets of laces, red and black, so if the red is too flashy then change to black. It's also fully laced not half or none at all like some other brands. You can tell the quality through the attention to detail that says you get what you pay for. Not all Rockport shoes are created equal but there are some that are really well made like this one. This fits casual wear and also for those who like comfortable shoes while wearing a suit. It still looks good but don't scream for attention; just quiet luxury. Love the height of the shoes to keep off being soaked walking past puddles when it rains and it's ergonomically designed for walking unlike flat or low profile shoes. One drawback is the sole can be better like using all rubber but instead it's a composite plastic and rubber that doesn't grip firmly. However it still provides good traction in all conditions.

I was hoping for more support. I wear new balance because if the stability bar in the heal, it keeps me from pronation. This shoe did not have that added. Other than that, they are beautiful real leather, well made and sturdy shoes. I would recommend them to others.
