Comfortable for my flat feet.

These shoes are very comfortable and fit my feet well. The picture I’ve included was taken after a lot of wear and tear. I do think that they are sized a little small compared to other shoes, but overall well-made. I have been able to wear them all day walking on concrete without any issues.

Comfortable, lightweight, quality, & stylish

I've worn Rockport shoes for years, so I was delighted to order a pair of dress shoes that was made by them. They are excellent. Here's why:1. They are made from a high-quality, soft leather than quickly molded to my feet.2. They are lightweight, and when I walk they absorb shock.3. They are stylish, with a burnished tip that makes it easy to wear these shoes with a suit, or dress jeans.4. The insole is shaped in a way that adds support because it pushes me up against ....5. ... a counter that keeps my foot straight. I don't pronate (turn in) or supinate (turn out).6. The sole is durable and made for walking.7. They fit me well, as always. My foot tends to run a touch on the narrow side, and these accommodate them, but there's plenty of room for someone with an average foot, and you can always order a wide width if necessary.Okay, if you want a pair of dress shoes with leather soles that will allow you to glide across dance floors like Fred Astaire these may not be the best shoes for you. Short of that...five stars!

Rockport has the name for a reason

The Rockport Mens Next Gen Plain Toe makes a statement when you walk into the room. Not only does it create a statement but generates the confidence of a man of means.Rockport shoes have the name for a reason and these do not disappoint. These are suitable for casual dress wear or wearing with a suit. It comes with a removable insole that while is middle of the road, I'll probably replace with a solid insole that molds to my foot.They say if you need to order a wide size but either can't find the right size or find them too costly, just order a half size up. That's what I did and the look, fit and more importantly feel were great.They are made well with attention to detail. They say they're leather but I didn't notice that familiar leather smell. Perhaps, they've been made for a while or hopefully not returns. Although, I did see that the arch of the foot was beginning to slightly wrinkle. I find that odd in a new pair of shoes unless they were in fact returns or the leather isn't as good as I thought.The sole is a black rubber. While not completely silent as you walk, these will not have the louder sounds of shoes with firmer soles. The only mistake you can make with these shoes is not ordering a second pair in a different color.
