Very comfortable work shoes right out of box. Can't say anything about longevity yet, but a month into it they look great. I'm an office employee and they see gentle use, so it may be different for a construction worker. They look very nice for a safety shoes. You can't even tell that there is a toe cap built in. They look better than my ecco dress shoes. :)
These are the best work boots. I first purchased these when I went from the work floor to an office. Still required to wear steel toes, I wanted something more stylish. I am a big Chukka boot fan. These are very stylish and comfortable. The only thing that you have to put up with is the “break in” period. So, wear a thick sock about the ankle for a couple of weeks. Once they break in, they are the best. I’ve had my pair almost two years and they look better with time. I have 2 brand new pairs in the closet. Definitely a must buy!!!
I like the look of these work boots. They are comfortable. BUT... Amazon can only return for 30 days. Rockport Works is a different company than Rockport even though they are sold from the same "Rockport" site. Rockport will not honor and damages from Rockport Works.My boots started coming apart at the seam near the ball of the foot after 1 month. This 1 month was minimal usage. I work in a warehouse, but sit at a desk most of the time. Now, because it is past the amazon window, I have to pay to send my boots in to be inspected and hope that the claim is processed.Being in CA, cost and time without a safety toe, which is required to be in the building, are prohibitive to even trying to send them in with my fingers crossed.I guess I'll have to find something better quality than Rockport next time. Hopefully I can wear them for another month before they completely fall apart.durability, garbagecustomer service, garbagequality for the price, garbagesave yourself the trouble... buy something else.
Doing lots of ground work I usually beat the fronts/cap up when on the knees. Since these are a synthetic upper, they can really take a beating. Unfortunately that same plus leads to less comfort. They are harder than leather and never seem to break in. Thankfully I purchased big enough size as to wear 2 pairs sock which cushion the hardness. That's not gonna work in summer though. I lovd the durability but I guess the tradeoff is comfort. So nope.Soles seems to be holding up good although the tread pattern seems to hold many small pebbles that never leave. I will have to keep looking for a better boot.Update: I survived the long break in period. Back to one pair of socks. These boots are indestructible. They are holding up well and I'm in construction. Very little wear upper and sole. I would by again.
The boot is relatively comfortable. They definitely fit more like a boot than a shoe. They are very stiff when they are new but break in fairly short. Construction is good quality. It looks like they could even be resolved. If you’re a person that wears boots all day I would say these boots are a great value. The soles are also slip and oil resistant. I see myself having these boots for a long time.
Initially a great look and feel from these boots. Soft enough in the heel to not cause any blisters which for work boots is a must. The only negative is that after 3 months of walking the sole started to delaminate from the boot at the major flex point. I had to glue the section together, and was conscious of it after. If you are wearing these on a non-frequemt basis these are good for a professional stand point. Not good for an every day use.
These shoes are worth the price. For being steel toe, the weight is surprising low. The shoe size fits as expected and overall comfort is good. I did have to buy insoles for a little bit of added comfort during my long days. Great option for managers and other positions that need to maintain a professional appearance while maintaining safety compliance.I have worn them for about 3 months now and they still look great and are holding up to the daily use
