The Rockport Tayo Moccasin exceeded expectations! Excellent fit and great looking! My job requires I stand all day, so I put Dr. Scholl’s heel insert in for extra comfort and I’m good to go. Highly recommend!
I almost bought these shoes from Rockport which were a much higher price although they were on "sale" then they were going to add $10 shipping. Then I remembered to check Amazon. I read all the reviews and then I selected my normal size of 10 1/2 wide and they are a little lose but 10 would probably fit but be snug. The amazon shoe size adviser box said I should really consider a size 11 which would have definitely been so big I would have had to return them. All the reviews said they were 1/2 to 1 size too big and they were right.
Beautiful shoes well made. Rockport is also good in my opinion. I still have some Rockports from the early 2000's. They're that well made.
Poor product manufacture. Not a tight fit in the collar. Very loose and cheap looking.
Could be worn for regular shoes, but I use them for slippers - slip on and off easily, comfortable, but they don't feel loose when walking, so they'd be fine for regular wear.
Stylish and comfortable. My old pair of Rockport driving shoes (12years old) is starting to wear out. In fact, while they are still in great shape mostly, the leather is wearing through at the toe area. So they lasted that long still look good but are getting tired.Since I liked them so much and they held up for that long, I figured I’d get a new pair. Cost was reasonable and I hope that will last at least as long as my old pair.I ordered the wide version and they fit perfectly.
I love these Rockport Men's Tayo Moccasins. Only my second pair of Rockports, these confirm I'll likely get more. They look nice in a funky, beachy, casual, and good looking way. Can go both casual and business casual. They are very comfortable. I go between a half size and the next size up so choosing in person is hard enough, but online can be disastrous. I went with the lower, half size, which should fit perfectly, maybe a bit hugging. In this case it ended up being too big. My wife and I agree it was more than the one size up. Normally that would be an issue. I will still put a heel protector in to limit slippage. But this is going to work out for me: The Rockport Men's Tayo Moccasins come with removable inserts. They are not thick, not padded, so I'd normally remove them and replace with my supportive inserts. I tried both with and without the original insert plus my supported one. In both cases this made the shoes fit well and allow me to have the support I need. But you should be aware of possible incorrect sizing. But with this adjustment I'm confident that I'll be able to use these Rockport Men's Tayo Moccasins well, often, and comfortably. I am happy to have them and look forward to a lot of good usage.PHOTOS:** These Rockport Men's Tayo Moccasins come in a recognizable Rockport box, well wrapped for nice presentation (do wish they'd include a shoehorn as a nice little bonus detail)** Out of the wrapping these Rockport Men's Tayo Moccasins are sharp looking. Either casual or business casual** They appear well made with good materials** I found my pair of Rockport Men's Tayo Moccasins to be at least a half size too large, closer to a full size: from the half size I got to the one up full size, but seem to be more closely related to that next half size** The design of these shoes is nice, with details such as the "mesh look" on top mixed with the soil strip across. Or the black continuation on the heels. A sharp looking pair of shoes** The included insert is removable allowing for a preferred insert: mine is to support my arches. The included one is not thick nor provides much of a cushion. But I did find when I combined it with my insert I was comfortable and the large size of the shoes allowed for my insert while simultaneously making them fit almost spot on.** I've often found my inserts cannot be used due to included ones not being removable and/or my insert was unable to fit at all. The pleasant irony here is the ability to use both inserts due to the Rockport Men's Tayo Moccasins being too large means I can use both inserts to make it all work out well, and allowing me to be more comfortable throughout the day.
