Although this boot is lightweight and sorta comfortable it’s not worth its price inside heel is very cheaply made it is worn apart after 2 weeks of owning them should probably change the material on the inside here to the same leather material pad the outside of the boot would actually make it almost a perfect boot
Leather surface is nubuck-like. Truly waterproof. The look does not feel wide, it looks like a normal regular boot shoe (not too slim nor wide). The Goodyear welt even though it's fake is appreciated! The design if the expandable gore makes this such a beautiful casual boot even though it is supposed to be a “rugged” function instead. The hydro-shield metal-tag tag also gives it even more style. It’s also MADE IN INDIA! (Good news it’s not the typical chinese trash)The only con is the neck/mouth is a bit too wide. The hoops look nice but they, especially the front one, easily catches the pants and makes it hard to pull back down.TL;DR SOLID RUGGED AND FUNCTIONAL BOOT YET GOOD-LOOKING AND STYLISH DESIGN. HAS A BIT LARGE NECK/MOUTH.
These boots WOULD be perfect. If only the mouth wasn't gigantic, causing heel to slip up every step, and that means blisters in the forecast. I got them for $50 and purposely downsized knowing that it's hard to find a Chelsea boot with a good fitting mouth/gore that doesn't feel like you're walking in large rubber rain boots, and yet the mouth is still too large. I tried my chance at a 9 WIDE when I'm usually a 10 in shoes, 9.5 in boots. The 9 Wide doesn't feel wide at all, but in fact the balls of my feet are cramped at the toe box. So if you're fortunate, you get to choose between the sole being too small or the mouth being too wide. I currently have both issues, however.With that said, they are super stylish minus the mouth sticking out from your pant legs. I would say they are worth it at a sub $50 price if you can find a good fit but hard to justify the 85 and 140 that the retail fluctuates between. I'll be returning them because they are too tight.
My husband loves these boots!! I buy him a new pair every year, even though the old pair is still holding up well. The insole just isn’t as comfortable as they were in the beginning ( which is expected after wearing for a year) .. Hands down the quality can’t be beat!!
I'm constantly walking around the 600,000 sq/ft facility I work in everyday. After a day or so of breaking these in, they fit and feel like a dream. My feet are always comfortable and never too hot. I've had these for a few months so far and the quality hasn't diminished. Will be buying another pair if these ever give out.
Out of the box and the tab on the back of one boot broke before I got it on my foot, tight fit so the tab is essential. Before they have been worn they are off to the bootmaker for a repair. luckily there is still someone who can replace both pull tabs with something stronger. If I had bought from a real retailer it would have been a return but buying on line that is not a practical option
The sole on my right boot cracked after 15 months of daily use. The boot uppers have done very well.
