Comfortable at break-in.
So I have big feet. With that, I look for foot fit, comfort, toughness and lightness. Some boots are five stars in every thing but lightness. Too bad but being 82, I just can't drag five pounds of boots around. These are leather, so grass and weed seeds can't enter the foot bed, especially if u add some gaitors.Speaking of gaitors brings up something: they could be just a little taller? Also, some hooks at the top might be a nice addition. Small cons. Otherwise, priced right and true to size, so I rated them 5 stars.

Nice boot short life
I purchased a pair of these Rockport boots on Feb. 5. I really liked them. They are comfortable and look great. Only flaw is the sole. The sole is a very soft material and started to show signs of wear within days of use. By April the sole had cracked and started to allow water into the boot during rainy days or walking on wet grass. I wore them daily for 3 months, so the short lifespan is a bit disappointing. I would be willing to repurchase to see if I just got a defective pair.

Great boot. They do run narrow. Had to return the first pair I bought and go with a wide. It worked out very well, cause they had pair in the Amazon warehouse for 30.00 less.I like the leather finish seems to not show any scratches or scuffs. Very pleased.

Quality has gone downhill...soles split after 15 months
As others have noted, toe box is considerably narrower than previous versions...not as comfortable overall. Soles on both shoes split after fifteen months of normal wear. Have owned many pairs of Rockport boots over the last 30 years, but after this pair will not buy Rockport ever again.

Narrower than expected, not exactly leather
The boots are for people with very thin feet or missing small finger. The new Rockport boot is on the left. It can be seen that the side is slanted; unless your pinky is paper thin, it won't fit. The same goes for you thumb. Compare this with the regular moctoe boot (right) - it has a curvature and the space to accommodate you fingers. Alas, this leather is not quite elastic, it won't stretch.Also, only half of the boot is actually leather - the front side, circled with blue. The rear side is man-made material, suede-like that is paper-thin (circled in red). That is so even though it is marked "Leather upper, balance - manmade". Should be marked "leather - half of the upper"
