Darn close to a perfect pair of heels for me
While I prefer slippers to stilettos, I gotta say these Rockport Total Motion Chase dress shoes are decently comfortable. One of the biggest selling points for me was the fact that Rockport not only offered these lovely heels in an 11 (a lot of dress shoes stop at a nine or 10) but also in a Wide sizing (something a lot of dressy shoes lack). The toe box is roomy so I don't end up with sore pinky toes even after hours of wear. The strap helps to keep the shoes securely on my feet which I love. Accidentally losing one of my shoes while walking is one big reason why I don't like wearing heels. Often the straps are too thick and the shoes look weird on my feet, or the straps are barely long enough to go across the top of the shoe without a foot in it which means there's no way to buckle them when on my foot. When I do wear dressy shoes with heels, I usually go for wider/thicker/chunkier heels for the added stability while walking. Being my first ever pair of Rockport shoes, I'm super pleased at how effortless these shoes are to wear. I never feel wobbly when walking even with the skinnier kitten-eque heel. The interior of each shoe is lined so there are no seams at the back or sides of my heels to cause discomfort (or blisters). The heels aren't so high that the balls of my feet take the brunt of weight when walking. The strap gives extra piece of mind enough to allow me to not constantly have to think about every step I take. wish the soles of these shoes had better traction, though. There isn't an issue when walking on rougher surfaces like sidewalks or carpet, but on surfaces like uber shiny glazed tile can be hazardous if there is any moisture or if the tile is dusty. The soles of these need to have something such as a tackier kind of rubber (such as that used for sneakers) or a rougher texture to provide better grip. Some scuffing with 40 grit sandpaper helped rough up the soles enough to help with unwanted slips and slides.

Good work shoe
These were surprisingly comfortable for a heel. While I always prefer a flat, if you need a slight heel that is classic and works well with both pants and dresses, this a very solid choice. I am a size 8 and they felt very true to size. There was a good grip on the bottom so I felt comfortable walking in them without worrying about slipping. I think the strap enhances the look and doesn't irritate or pinch my feet at all. Would definitely recommend.
