These are probably my favorite low-top met guard safety shoes
I have purchased three separate pairs of these in the last four years. Not because they are of low quality, but my job really beats up any type of shoe or boot in no time.I keep coming back to these for several reasons. One, because they are some of the lowest on the ankle met guard shoes I could find on the internet. It gets super hot where I’m using them and the lower I can get them, the better. They also do not take that long to break in. I’ve broken in a dozen pairs of work boots or more and it is usually a pretty painful process. These honestly aren’t terrible and it’s probably due to the shape of my feet that I have any issues at all. During the break in process it feels a bit tight in the toes and my heels tend to rub on the back of the shoe a bit. All in all it takes like 4 days or so before I forget all about it and they just become a well-fitting and comfortable shoe.Another reason I like these is because they look awesome. If you can manage to not get them too dirty, they could honestly pass for a nice looking casual shoe around the workplace. The color, she shape and the boat-shoe style is right up my alley. They are breathable and durable. I have never had overly sweaty feet in these shoes. Even in 120 degrees F for 12 hours, the air flow is there and they never get soggy or uncomfortable. This, combined with how low they are keeps them cool. The reason I purchased new ones has never been because a part of them fell apart or ripped. I just trash the heck out of them and enjoy a fresh pair of shoes, even in the workplace. These babies are glued and stitched quality leather that would take a serious beating before unraveling. They are good shoes, honestly. Unless something amazing comes out, I’ll be back here next year to purchase another pair. Peace and have an awesome day.

Great shoe once broken in
They took about 2-3 weeks to break in. Definitely felt narrow at first but now they feel great and are very comfortable. Would buy again.

Fits true to size, but could use more cushioning and support.
Pros:- Good looking “boat shoe” design, with a steel toe for dock workers, etc.- Leather construction and stitching is solid.- Electrical shock resistant soles are great for certain work/industrial environments.- Decent slip resistant soles.- Fits true to size, with no heel slipping or toes cramped in the toe box. Order your normal street shoe size.Cons:- These shoes do feel somewhat “clunky” and heavy (due to the steel toe construction and thick leather).- The removable inserts offer minimal cushioning or orthotic support. Walking in these shoes felt very uncomfortable at first, so I took the insert out and replaced it with a high quality athletic / orthotic insert (with added impact cushioning). Problem solved! They feel great now.- The shoe laces provided are way too long.- Most people who love the comfort, flexibility and light weight construction of traditional boat shoes will HATE these shoes! They are work shoes, and they feel more like boots than deck shoes.- These shoes will take a while to comfortably break in.I am satisfied overall with these Rockport shoes. I just wish the designers would have integrated more comfort and orthotic support into the shoe’s design. I think this would prevent so many negative customer reviews, regarding discomfort. Just replace the factory inserts with something softer and the shoes will be fine.

Rockports Rock
I bought my first pair of Rockports in 1987. I have been a huge fan ever since. Why you may ask? Because they fit like a glove, and they last forever. My second pair I bought in 1990. They were the classic boat shoes. I still wear them (inside), every day. They are seriously worn out, but they still slip on, and are like an old friend.Fast forward to today. I received my order in two days from Amazon. I ordered a pair of 9 1/2 Med Rockport Steel Toe boat shoes for work. I have never worn steel toe shoes, but I was confident in Rockport. They nailed it again!!! These shoesfit perfect, are light weight, and look awesome. I've worn them all day, and they just adapted to my walking, and to my feet immediately. When and if I wear these out, I hope they still make this shoe. I will buy another pair no question. Thanks Rockport!!!

Eyelet quickly fell off
These are my third pair of rock port works shoes that I have bought over the past 10 years. They are really nice looking, and generally very comfortable. However this latest pair seems to be a little tight across the top of my foot, and an eyelet has already fallen out of a lace hole. This is only my second day wearing the shoes! I am a Safety Management Specialist, making trips to jobsites and back to the office, it’s not like I’m performing manual labor. For the price and look, it’s a nice steel toed work shoe for office with occasional field visits, but seems like the quality (at least on this pair) is in decline.

Comfortable, protective and boat friendly
I bought these for my husband who works on boats and has broken many a toe on miscellaneous objects after having to remove his boots to go on deck. He now has a comfortable, protective, pair of work shoes which have become his go to daily footwear

Shoe is great but you can't give somebody a different product from which they ordered
The shoe is just right. But I order the present colour in the display and got an ugly dark dark chocolate brown colour which I hate till up to now.
