Very happy that these are so good
First off I’m very pleased that the size and fit is accurate with these boots. They have arch support and the sole is stiff and supportive. Overall quality is excellent and comparable to other long lasting durable boots I wear for work.I like boots like this because I can stand on any service for long periods of time and feel like I have support and protection in the work environment. I appreciate that the look of these with the smooth one piece toe is a little more conservative and serious. The insole is removable, but the one that comes with these boots is better than average. Because some days I’m on concrete for several hours at a time I’ll immediately upgrade the insole in most new boots. But with these boots I’m going to wait to do that because the included insole is decent already. The fit feels like an expensive boot with a sure grippy tread. The only thing about these that I don’t usually look for is the tall ankle coverage? Note that these are listed at 8 inches and are actually 10 inches from top to bottom of the sole on the pair that I have. It takes a bit more patience to put them on and take them off. During the summer months, where I live boots this tall are noticeably warmer. Alternatively, wearing boots this tall does inspire great confidence and provides additional ankle protection.Overall, I am impressed with the quality, fit and look of these boots. In my estimation and experience with buying other work / utility/ duty boots, these feel like an excellent value for the price. I am glad to have found this brand offering.

Very comfortable overall
I wanted to give these boots 5 stars but I just can’t. But first here is what I like about them, quality materials all around (though they feel a bit thin) and very comfortable during long rugged hikes, which I’ve done with these boots for about 15 miles since I got them.Yes they are “wide” boots but I found them to be not all that wide. But still they fit my 11 wide foot very well. One thing I did notice that made weary was how quickly they broke in. Usually when shoes break in that quickly they also start to fall apart quickly but time will tell on these Rock Rossters. The style is great. FDE military style boots can also pass ass hiking boots if worn under jeans/pants.So when it come down to it I am not sure it these are a good value or not. I need to put about 85 more miles on them before I can really decide. But as of rn I amConfident in the 4 stars I’ve given them

Awesome Combat Boots, Seriously Tough!
I’ve been using the ROCKROOSTER Colmar 8″ Men’s Tactical Boots and I’m honestly very satisfied with them. Right out of the box, they felt comfortable with no painful break in period, which is something I really appreciate. They’re lightweight but still feel tough and well built, making them great for long days on my feet. The waterproofing works well, and my feet stay dry even in wet conditions. The non slip sole has excellent traction, whether I’m walking on uneven ground, riding my motorcycle, or doing outdoor work. I also like the 8″ height, which gives good ankle support without feeling restrictive.Another big plus for me is how versatile these boots are. I’ve used them for hiking, riding, and general everyday wear, and they perform well in all situations. The lace up design keeps them snug and secure, and the EH rating gives extra peace of mind when working around electrical hazards.Overall, these ROCKROOSTER boots exceeded my expectations for the price. They’re comfortable, durable, and reliable, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a solid tactical or outdoor boot.

Super light super durable and supportive.
Ankle support is amazing. These are so lightweight if I didn't know and trust rock rooster I'd be concerned with quality and durability. I have worn these hard in snow high running water etc.Where these really earn the money is the long game. Up and down hills traversing sideways.I dont rush to take these off after a long day. My feet are warm and dry and when everyone else is ya king their boots off I'm still ready to go back out.

comfortable, but not to my normal RR expectation
I have MANY (8?) pairs of RR boots. These are the first that are not composite or steel toe boots, and I was really looking forward to seeing how they compare.these ones are definitely lighter due to the lack of the toe cap. the treads are aggressive, and would work great as hiking boots, especially with the high ankle.the boot breaths real well, especially when you consider that it's waterproof.a few things I didn't like about it though:the top couple loops would have been better if they were the quick loop type to allow for easier unlacing.the higher boot is nice, but the ankle on up is actually wider than most of the other RR boots I have, making it feel actually a bit loose even though the shoe part is a good fit. it fit more like cowboy boots rather than combat / riding boots. I wish it was more snug so that there's more support.the sole is very comfortable like all other RR boots I have though.

Excellent tactical boots for hunting, work or play!
I like everything about these versatile tactical boots! They have a cool military look & feel, but they're highly practical and comfortable too. The EH Resistant standard safety rating, and sturdy anti-slip outsole makes these excellent work boots (where a steel toe box is not required). They also are great for hunting because they are waterproof and breathable. The arch support is sufficient, and the wide sizing provides adequate room in the toe box. I also like the additional ankle support the 8" high top provides. These are great looking combat-style boots that are made to last, and a good value for the money. Highly recommended!
