Biocidal Work Boots…Biocidal???

These work boots contain a “Biocidal” product with “Tetradecyldimoniumsilan”…Biocidal products are intended to kill or control harmful organisms and Tetradecyldimoniumsilan is a type of antimicrobial agent used in coatings to prevent the growth of microbes on surfaces. No, I didn’t know that…I had to look it up. The seller promotes these boots as “Sanitized treated” and “Odor free”. Time will tell.First impression…for safety toe work boots they are fairly lightweight (4.5 lbs.). The uppers (above ankle height) are well padded and super comfortable. The composite (not steel) safety toes are strong while the soles are slip resistant. The laces are robust, and I like the slipover lace anchors for the last few ties. The shoes are relatively comfortable with decent heel support but lacking a little support in the arches. There is plenty of room in the toe box (I ordered wide) for my bunion afflicted feet. The first time I wore these was under outdoor raining/wet conditions…and the waterproof lining held up well and provided for dry feet the entire day.Whoever wrote the 1-Year Warranty Service card, had a good sense of humor; ”Please feel free to contact us, day or night. If we are up and awake, we will answer the phone or email.” LOLAt $115.99 these boots fall somewhere near the middle price range for similar quality boots. Leather, waterproof, slip resistant, sanitized treated comfortable safety work boots. They lack support and I will more than likely have to use inserts. Deduct 1 Star and I would recommend.

These boots look heavy-duty. They feel heavier than hiking boots when you pick them up. It is a bit larger fit, which is great for wearing heavy-duty socks.* Has reinforced toe area.* The outside is waterproof.* Has a thick tread on the bottom of the shoe.* Offers ankle coverage and support.* The toe area (On the outside) is covered by a rubber-like coating to protect against scuffs and damage to the boot from a work environment.

I would recommend this footwear for both daytime and evening wear. I am very pleased with this particular pair; they fit comfortably and haven't caused any blisters. These safety boots are lightweight, waterproof, durable, feature composite toe protection, have good compression, are lightweight, have a supportive sole, and are made of high-quality materials. Minor Quality Issues

The pair I got had some minor quality issues. Nothing that prevents me from wearing these, just cosmetic. On the side of the soles there's some holes in the plastic like the mold it was made in had air bubbles. And there's some random stitches with loose ends. Other than those minor issues, these are really nice work boots.The insoles are really comfortable right out of the box. I'm about a week into break-in, wearing them 12-14 hours a day on concrete and no complaints. They have a good amount of cushion around the ankle opening with nicely spaced laces. I can easily get the laces as tight as I like over the arch of my foot while still having some room in ankle. The bottom of the soles are designed as a work boot which means they don't have those large chunky parts that catch mud like a hiking boot does. They grip well on wet surfaces, even wet iron/metal. There is ample room in the toe area even with the toe protection. Kneeling down I don't have any problem with my toes pushing up against the toe cup. Also the tongue is sewn up to the bottom of the ankle which really does a good job keeping water and dirt out of the boots.The sizing for me was on the large size. I would recommend going down half a size from your regular size. Overall a really nice looking, well made work boot that's comfortable on day 1.

Outer Sole and Nubuck Leather Uppers Both Extremely Durable And Wear Well Even After A Year.

I'm a huge fan of RockRooster. For close to a year now I have been wearing the AK609, 6", Woodland, construction boots with composite toe. The soles are hard rubber which means minimal wear when walking on concrete. The model that this review is about is the CP 212 which is almost identical to the boots mentioned above, which also have composite toes and is ASTM F2413-18. All that means is that the shoes can be worn by an electrician (Electrical Hazard resistant) and the sole is nonslip and waterproof nubuck leather upper. These shoes have a padded tongue which may annoy some people. The outsoles are hard rubber which limits wear but also makes for a hard surface when walking on concrete. This hard rubber needs to be compensated by a high-quality sole insert designed for toe to heal impact resistance. The insoles that come with these boots is fine but will need to be replaced every six months to continue protecting your feet. The leather uppers wear very, very well and the outer sole is properly glued in place and stays put even after miles of walking. The Brunt shoes that I purchased last year had the entire outer sole fall off in less than thirty days. I predict that RockRooster's reputation will soon surpass that of Wolverine!
