I'm a mail carrier in Southern California, and I walk between 8 and 14 miles every day. Bought these Rocky Alpha Force boots to replace my Hoka shoes - my metatarsal area was causing some pain. Super comfortable right from the start. After a couple 10 mile days they felt great, and still do! I like the way they cover my ankles. My feet feel very indestructible in these boots - like I could go anywhere.
Looks Great, fits very well and is comfortable.
I have a wide foot just wish the sold a double e boot other then that they are good boots
These are tough durable boots I used to delivery my route as a mailman in Alaska.
I have been wearing 9.5 W (2E) footwear for 40 years. I know my size, and I will not put up with something that doesn't fit comfortably, these boots are not made to the correct size. I ordered a pair of 9.5W got them and could barely get my foot in them, so I sent them back and asked for 10W to see if they would be better. The 10W do fit slightly better but are still too small for all day comfort. They also don't seem to understand what the W is supposed to mean, I can't imagine how narrow the standard sizes are. Based on my results I believe they are being made one size under spec. A 10.5W would probably be about right. Unfortunate, I'm done experimenting. I'm getting rid of them and ordering a brand I've had success with in the past.Couple of points:1. Amazon has been great, they worked my exchanges fast and professionally. No issues with them, great customer service.2. These boots look really well made, no issues with the look or construction.
I needed a boot for work that was comfortable and could handle a bit of inclement weather. This boot pretty much fit the bill. I wear a standard 10D in almost everything. But after reading some reviews stating that the boots run narrow, I decided to go with a 10W. That proved to be the right move. If I could do it over again I would have probably went with a 10.5W, just to be able to wear thicker wool socks. The Rocky Alphaforce Boots have a very thick insole that you are able to remove. I replaced it with a slightly thinner athletic insole, and the boots fit like a glove. Still snug, but not uncomfortable. All in all I am happy with this pair so far, and I really like the aggressive sole. Lets see how they handle the rest of this Chicago winter.
