Rocky Boots Alpha Force 6" Swat Boot
Shipping was very fast. I wasn`t sure what to expect but after opening the box and putting the boots on, I have been amazed. They are everything the seller said they were and buyer comments are spot on. I can`t say enough about how very pleased I am with this whole transaction. The boot is well made and VERY comfy. Like walking on a pillow. I work and concrete all day and walk the whole time. Needless to say I have bad feet and problems finding shoes that don`t make my feet hurt worse than the already do. I spend the money on good shoes too but they only work for a few weeks. These boots aren`t like that. They actually have a good insole that doesn`t go flat in a week and the tread and outsides hold up great in bad weather, all the while still looking good and professional. They clean up and shine like new every time. ROCKY BOOTS has always been the "quality go to place" for the professionals who work on their feet a lot and don`t have a ton of money to spend on work boots every few months. So if you are tired of spending your hard earned money on work boots or shoes every few months, try Rocky Boots. You`ll be very pleased you did. PS- I have nothing to do with the company. I just love their boots and how much I`ve saved in money and foot pain over the years. It`s hard to find "quality" work boots and shoes at a good price that actually hold up.

Excellent quality work boots but be forewarned they run small and narrow. I'm a retired manufacturing specialist at Fairchild Semiconductor and am working as a guard for Securitas in two locations. Both posts require 3-5 miles of walking during an 8 hr shift. At 6'1" 170 lbs I ordered a 11.5 normal width, same size I've ordered in the past for construction boots with no problem, and the boots were too small. I used them for two shifts thinking they would break in and stretch with consistent walking, climbing stairs, etc but the boots ended up breaking me. I used the amazon return policy and ordered a size 12 wide. In conclusion, I recommend ordering a full size up and factor in your foot width, the toe box is narrow.

I am mistaken for law enforcement because of these boots.
very comfortable. Will buy again. Back for update on 11/11/2020: I am on my 8th pair. Shoes normally last me up to 10 months to a year. Last a long time. Shoes are waterproof or water resistance. I wear the new ones during the winter right into the spring. I don't always wear boots and underwear around the house. But when I do, I wear boxer briefs and 6"tactical Rocky Alfa Force Boots. I wish they had more colors. Boots are warm. Do not wear during the summer. Unless you like hot feet. Snug boot but not tight. Perfect fit 9.5W. I walk with a stroll, ride bikes, kick a$$, run at slow pace. Frequently I am mistaken for law enforcement because of these boots. If I was called to run a top secret mission for some an agency that does not exist, I would wear these boots. Boots tested in government buildings and shopping with wife. I always keep 3 pair on hand and keep rotating between them. Use the old ones to cut grass. Use the new ones in the house and to work. Always keep a pair on hand that look new. Keep the old ones for choirs around the house or side hustle. Go with jeans and dress pants. Buy these boots.

Least comfortable duty boots I've ever tried.
I work security. On my feet 8+ hours a day. Bought a 10.5 wide after hearing these run narrow, and found it to be narrower than any of the standard width 10.5 I usually wear. Toe box was very tight on top of toes which caused blisters the very first day I wore them. I tried to wear them to break them in, but it just hurt too much. Did not expect such discomfort from a reputable brand.

Expect to do a little altering
After reading other reviews, I ordered these in wide width. Even though all of my other boots have always been standard width. Amazon got these to me in amazingly short order.Initial thoughts- they are nice looking boots. Definitely tight in the width, even in wide size. Strings aren't very good, hard to keep tight while tying because they slide so easily.After 4 days at work- I need boots that can handle a wide range of activity. My usual day involves a 2 mile fence walk in the snow, about 1 hour standing on concrete outside, climbing up and under vehicles, then 2 hours standing on concrete again. These boots proved they can handle it all. Waterproof, flexible, good grip on snow and surprisingly an excellent grip when coming inside on polished floors. BUT, by the 6th hour, my toes were killing me from lack of room. They also had no noticeable cushion underneath while standing on concrete. By the 4th day, I was standing on ice, trying to relieve the pain and ready to throw these things away. Out of desperation, I removed the insoles and put in some old gells I had. The insoles that came in these boots are very thick, but take very little pressure to compact to nothing. After changing out insoles, I finally had toe room. In fact now I have too much toe room. My feet are sliding around and I can't get the boots tight enough because they are a wide size. I will try to find another set of insoles to try.Conclusion- I would order these in your regular size and expect to buy different insoles. Though they so far seem like a very capable boot, I give them only a 3 because I have to spend more time and money figuring out a decent insole solution
