Outstanding boot just make sure you order one to two sizes bigger
Initial feedback. Decades ago when I worked in law enforcement I wore several tac boots, Danner, Bates, Rocky, Magnum. All of them suited me well but Rockies were always my favorite because they lasted me the longest.(almost 8 years). For the past 3 years I've been wearing a cheap knockoff pair just because I'm not on the job anymore, but I've been meaning to get myself a good solid pair again. After much debate I decided to get myself another pair of Rockies. I found the most economic price I could find. They arrived today and I'm as giddy as a school kid on Christmas morning. I took them out of the box and these things are built like a tank they are solid, thick, they've got padding where it needs to be. I tried them on and immediately felt like a juggernaut.. there's no way anyone's going to push me over because the traction is so solid on these. **Note**: a lot of the reviews said the sizes run small and to order a size larger. I normally wear a 12W so I got a 13W. I almost wish I would have gotten a 14 !!. These fit like a glove there's zero wiggle room. I am not saying they're uncomfortable it's the opposite they are extremely comfortable and they feel like a glove and I'm sure that as I wear them and break them in they will loosen up a bit but if you are hesitant when you order your pair I agree with everyone else... go a minimum of one size possibly two sizes bigger than what you normally wear... Especially if you plan on wearing thick socks during the winter.

The boot than does it all
Have had 4 pairs of these boots. My job gives us 50 dollars per year for a boot allowance and I buy a new pair every year whether I need a new pair or not. The boots that are 4 years old have been to hell and back. Between hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, working on the job or at home, they’ve impressed me. Makes me wish shoes had an odometer on them so I could see how many miles they’ve trekked. And only are missing an inch of stitching on the toe of the boot. Sadly that has compromised the waterproofing. Between walking on concrete all day to hiking in the mountains they are solid boots. Comfy too. I have had them ankle deep in water whether at work or play and the insides stayed dry. I also wear them riding my motorcycle and my dirt bike where conditions are harsh. The side zips come pretty stiff to zip up at first but then seem to break in with use. There are only two complaints I have about these boots. The first is the shoe laces wear out very fast. However I have never replaced a set of shoelaces on any of my 4 pairs. They just seem to wear quickly. Might sit down one day and replace all the laces on my boots with parachute 550 cord.Second complaint is not really the manufacturers fault. Due to the aggressive tread on the bottom (much like mud tires on a truck) they like to leave chunks of dirt and debris behind. So definitely not a boot you’ll wanna wear in the house.Other than that these boots kick ass. You won’t be disappointed. I’ve worn them for 5 years almost daily. That being said though due to the luxury of getting a $50 allowance for boots at work I do have a strategic rotation of wear for the boots so that they get broken in over time and I don’t have to break them in all at once and wreck my feet. But my first pair has been put through the ringer. I can assure you that. Buy them if you need a boot that can do it all and thank me later.

Great boots.
I have been using these boots for work, play, motorcycle boots and daily wear for over 20 years. Every year I buy a new pair only for work. 1 year old Work boots turn into play/hiking/motorcycle and quasi daily wear in fall and winter. The old ones in that position turn into year round yard and home work boots. After that, they are well worn out, falling apart and placed in the trash. About 10 years ago they began running tight and the sole was also a touch smaller. I contacted Rocky directly and they bounced my concern around to the manufacturing people and I was on the active email string. I sent them pictures of my concern and they took interest. They thought it was a part of some manufacturing process. They explained they would stretch out naturally and if they didn't or I wasnt happy, I could return them without issue and if I chose, I could start ordering wides to address my concern. I kept the boots and just wore them pretty loose for the first week. Only using the zipper from then on out to judge tightness and to take them kn and off. Set the laces and be done. As they stretched in the third week and the next few, I would gently tighten up the laces until they just fit like a glove. They are perfect the rest of the year. I need boots for work and my Agency doesn’t supply them so I get to claim the new pair on taxes every year. I also contribute this yearly pair to better foot, knee, leg, hip and spine health as the boots support system is new every year. The new boot absorbs shock and properly supports my body while running and other work related activities. All in a wide variety of weather and other conditions my life and health depend on. I am former USMC Infantry prior to LEO. I know good boots are very important. I trust these in all conditions and it would take A LOT for me to buy anything else. I also greatly dislike wet feet and the waterproofing in these boots have kept my feet dry in all non-submersive conditions. At the same time, they breath very well and my feet aren’t overly sweaty for yearly weather or activity conditions.
