Defective boots

Defect with the padded ankle area. Wore the boots 3 times and they began to separate from the leather. Very disappointed with boot am returning. Poor poor quality for Rocky boots.

Not the best, not the worst.

Decided to order these when Bates quality started to drop. I like these but there are some weak points to them as others have mentioned in their reviews. After a while, the laces start to cut into the boots but that's only if you have to really cinch them down regularly. I would suggest sizing down from what you normally wear. I bought these and immediately started wearing them without doing a good test inside the house first. While they're comfortable, they do run a little big and "medium" width may be an understatement. They take a polish just fine and I still use these when I have to wear my dress uniform. The soles seem to have held up much better than the really soft soles on Bates Sentinels but these are still a "soft" sole duty boot. Overall, I'd recommend them if you are mindful of the size disparity, but don't suggest wearing them for everyday use. Rotate these with another boot or just wear them for those dress details or "office days."

Worth the buy. Good bang for the buck

I have a narrow foot so it fits well. Would not be a good fit for wide foot or very high arched foot unless you have an insert. Footbed is kind of flat. If the foot bed was a bit more arched or came with a more arched insert this would've been a 5 star rating. That being said this is a better buy and has better craftsmanship than it's competitor, Bates. The sole is also thicker and longer lasting (I've had both in my 20+ year law enforcement career).

Not what I expected from Rocky. Very disappointed

Very dissatisfied with this product. I have worn many different pairs of boots and these are by far the most uncomfortable and worst quality I've worn. The leather was very stiff and not moldable to feet. Thought they might have needed a longer break in period but the upper tongue rubbed against my upper foot and caused a lot of pain. Has been about 4 days now and still have some soreness/redness and swelling. Wore them maybe 4 times and to add to the problem, the lace on the right boot tore/ripped in half when tying them up. Very disappointing considering the absolute best and well constructed boot I've EVER owned were the S2V boots made by Rocky. I definitely expected more and maybe should have took other bad reviews in consideration before purchasing.

Wonderful chukka

I am a professional postman of 30 years. Have used Thorogood and rocky through my time and have found rocky is the better product. I have a walking route by choice to keep me in good health. This is a great boot with an insert. I have used the protalus m75 insert, I know it said medium but it is perfect. I have a size 11 regular and it works. Great boot for me, maybe for you too ! A better price than my allotment with uniform companies!!! I will buy another pair!
