Absolutely water proof, easy on/off with zipper, great grip off concrete. Hard slippery surfaces are a no go and boots get hot. But do outstanding for waterproofing, off road grip, and easy on/off.. specially for 50$
Hi, this is the third pair of Rocky S2v I buy. they hold about 5 year of daily use (could be more...but the soles completely worn). I use also Lowa boots, but... rocky is far more comfortable...even with the side zipper.Why 4 stars? and not five???1. My size is usually 10.5, I learned from my last Rocky order, to order half size down, size 10, in this boots is perfect for me.2. The first rocky I ordered, were made in USA, you can notice in very small things, that the built quality is a bit better then the latest "neighbors version".Still....The best Duty boot I have ever worn.

These boots look great, and I like the build quality, but they run far too narrow and too short. The sizing isn't even in the ballpark. I wear a 12 wide or extra wide in the half dozen or so other pairs of boots I own, and a 12W in this brand fits more like a narrow 10 or 11.
Looks strong, a bit heavy for the size ,quality is really good

When you open the lock, you still can't take it off without lacing it up, you have to unlace it.
