Comfortable and good looking shoes for work. True to size and width. Good arch support and plenty of room in the toe area. Can be worn with heavy socks for comfort and warmth. Quality all-leather construction, will take a nice shine when needed.
I've been using these boots for a while now and am very happy with them. I use them for riding my motorcycle. They fit well and are comfortable. The soles grip well on any surface I've come across. They hold up well and seem to have good construction. I would definitely buy them again.
I bought this boot because my made in China issue boots at work were ill fitting and cheaply made. This shoe by Rocky has been the most comfortable duty shoe I have worn since becoming a career firefighter. They do not have a Gortex lining or any other water proofing, however that really is not a huge factor for me. I sprayed a little after market water proofing on them and that worked fine. I wear this shoe about 16 hours straight while I am on duty and the comfort and performance is perfect. It is also great that these are Made in USA boots. The price is spot on in comparison to the Chinese boots. Keep Americans at work and buy these boots!
Im not sure if these shoes are a Rocky knockoff I have had several pair of these shoes throughout my career. These shoes are too tight near the ball joints. I had them on for six hours and had to take them off because my feet were hurting.
Purchased these “boots” because they are USPS approved and several other carriers wear them. They took about three weeks to break in. I almost gave up on them. They hav a very cushiony sole. Are quite comfortable to walk in and for the most part keep the feet dry they are very long won the ankle and give almost no support. I like them but I would prefer if they were a little higher on the ankle. Still wearing them everyday. Not sure if I will purchase again.
I had high expectations in purchasing these boots, however there are several flaws not apparent in the way that these are presented.The quality of manufacture is good, soles are well joined and the leather is soft and supple. The picture however gives the feel of a boot that would cover the ankle, in reality these are really half boots and come to mid ankle, which means that the edges wear across the ankle. Sizing is also an issue. I have now purchased 3 pairs of boots through Amazon. The first two pairs were purchased at size 10.5M and are a very comfortable fit wearing work socks. These however are very tight across the instep and I have to wear the thinnest socks possible to even be able to walk in the boots. Overall, very disappointing.
For those who spend alot of time on their feet because of job requirements will find the Rocky Duty Chukka Swat Boot a must have in their wardrobe. Two words: COMFORT AND QUALITY. And its made in the USA. If you have foot problems (ie:corns, calluses,etc) try this shoe on for size. Recommend a half size larger than you would normally wear for those days when you wish to use extra thick socks and a wide width. Your feet will thank you at the end of your workday.One word of warning for those who live in tropical climates where high heat and humidity is ever present, the rubber sole tends to deteriorate very quickly. Left mine in the box for a couple years and when I tried to used them the soles literally fell apart. Otherwise a great shoe for those who spend a lot of time on their feet
