These are the most beautiful pair of boots I have every owned. Perfect sizing, love the vintage look. Changed my look to shades of red so I can wear them everyday!
I have always wanted a pair of red boots, but not a fire engine red boot. I also did not want to spend over $200 on red boots I probably wouldn't wear often. I initially clicked on these boots for the color, but ordered them due to the price and the fact they were Ropers.Are they leather? Nope, not one little bit. All man-made materials and a rubber sole and heel made to look like wood/leather.Are they supportive? Nope. No arch support or cushion but thick socks or an added insole will help.Are they tight around the shaft? Nope. However, I would not call them wide calf either. They are roomy with about an inch to spare and my calf is 15 inches at the widest part. I'd say these would fit snug for calves 16 inches and up.Are they red? Nope. they are a black cherry/burgundy (which is trending for Fall 2025).Are they going to last forever? Nope. If you wear them hard, like a leather boot, they are going to scuff and get scratched. These are not for farm or real horse work.Are these typical Ropers? Nope. The Ropers I have experience with are leather and very durable. These are a fashion line boot.Are they true to size, comfortable, cute and fun? Absolutely! They are lightweight, squishy and the rubber sole makes them non-slip. The color is red without screaming at you and the black scroll stitching is very pretty. I am usually a 9-10 in shoes and boots so I bought a 9.5 to be safe. With thicker socks they are a good fit, but I could have bought a 9. (I'm usually a 9.5-10 in other snip toes like Ariat).If you are on the fence and want a pretty fun boot for no reason other than you want them. These are a cute and affordable option.I only gave 4 stars because I don’t love the white stitching around the sole/toe area. Black or brown would have been less obvious.
I work in retail and was a little worried about how these would wear when on my feet all day. Some sneakers can't even keep up. These do better than expected, by quite a bit.I won't lie and say they're a hug for your feet, just like wearing slippers. However, after an eleven hour day, my feet had only just started to get a little sore. Once I got home and took them off, there was no lingering soreness.The first day I wore them, I wore them for a shorter shift and they hurt a little bit. I was worried until that second shift. Give them at least one wear before them being an all day commitment.I'm 41, a bit chubby, and wear a 9 usually. I ordered these in 9.5 because the older I get, being on my feet makes them get a little puffy and with the narrow toe, I wanted to make sure they were roomy enough. I very likely could have gone with a 9, but I'm glad I sized up. There's no pinching or overt tightness, but they did remind me to cut my nails when I got home lolHaving only worn them a few times, I can't speak to their longevity or durability, but they seem well made and likely to last more than long enough to earn their worth lolThey're adorable, comfortable enough for retail, and really reasonably priced when compared to similar boots in different brands.I probably won't buy the forget colors, simply because they're not my style, but I love the light colored ones. I did get several compliments and loved sharing the cost and that I bought them on Amazon.I'll definitely buy them again when they wear out.
Bought these for a photo shoot, but will be wearing these for much longer. I can see where these are more for looks rather than working on a farm though. They seem, sturdy, but since not real leather, I'd prefer to wear these for casual outings to the rodeo, not for participating in one. I was concerned about my foot being too wide, because the boots are narrow. You will need to wear a very thin sock, or footies, or even barefoot with charcoal inserts, because thick socks won't work out with a wide foot. These were very, comfortable once you get foot in past the shaft of the boot. I have thicker ankles (kankles) and was worried about putting these on all the way, but with a short tug they went on and fit, perfectly, like they were made just for me. Get your regular size, but if you need to wear thicker socks get a size up. I have a thicker calf, so, if your legs are skinnier I can see where they won't work, because they fit my calves just fine. The color of the boot is very, nice and looks well-made. I'm short (5'2"-5'3"), so, these were almost to my knees. I'm very, impressed with this purchase.
Color is soft tan and goes well with fall outfits. I have the red also. Love both. Durable and true to size.
