Great, even with problem feet
I wear a true size 9, have flat feet and bunions, and I often return footwear. These are keepers. I really like the wider toe box, and they are overall comfortable. Haven't fully broken the boots in, but I comfortably achieved nearly three hours of city walking and some dancing at a recent festival. I love the distressed look. I feel the value is good, and Roper is a reputable name in boots. Easy to pull off my feet, I didn't need help as I sometimes do LOL.

Exactly like the photos
Exactly like the photos or better! I was nervous about the mixed reviews, but these are worth the money! Opened the box and was instantly in love with the look. Put them on and they fit perfect. So they are true to size. I'm an 8, and I ordered an 8. They were not hard to get on, and were not tight on my toes. Wore them all night at the bar line dancing and were super comfy. They will be my go to boots and will buy them in brown in the future!

Weird Narrow Shaft on ONE boot but BEAUTIFUL boots!!
If my judgement was strictly on appearance I would give 5 stars! I am a normal size 9 so I ordered my boots in a 9 1/2 based on the reviews I read. However when I received my boots I put the right one on fine but the left boot I could not even get half my foot in. It took some very har work and stretching and the help of a butterknive to stretch out the back of the boot enough to get my heel in. It was the oddest thing. The shaft of the one boot was just so narrow for my heel to get down in the boot. I was afraid I was going to have to return them. I did finally get the left boot on though. I thought once I wore it a bunch and stretched it out it would be fine but that one boot is still difficult to get on and now it is too late to return them having worn them. I do LOVE the look of them completely though! Beautiful color and worn look. Leather looks good, not cheap.

CHEAP and don't fit
I ride horses and live in a rural area. I wear cowboy boots A LOT. I bought these because they looked cute and I needed a new black pair.First off - they are CHEAP. Literally parts of them are glued. As I was trying to pull them on (more to that in a minute) the glue was peeling apart and I felt like I was going to rip off the handles.Second- they are WAY too tight. Like I said, I am used to cowboy boots. I KNOW that they are tight at first and break it. I know that you can take them and get them stretched. But these are way tighter than normal boots. I was finally able to get one on but could not get the other on. I stood up in the one I COULD get on and they were very uncomfortable. Slick bottoms, very hard sole. No way I could walk in them all day.My recommendation is DO NOT BUY.

Real cute but challenging to fit right
I wanted to like these boots so much because they are leather and they they've got a great distressed look to them. The cons are, they are hard to pull on like other reviewers have said, my right boot is tighter than my left boot.; you better wear wide legged bottom pants/jeans with these because at the top of the ankle they stick out quite a bit. that's too bad! Since the left boot is bigger and my heel goes up and down , I tried to put a foot pad inside the boot, and that was hard. I think these boots would be absolutely perfect if they had a zipper and a little tighter around the ankle. I'm going to wear them around the house to see how they do and if I have to return them, I'll return them for a replacement pair same size and see if that works out better. One reviewer said that her replacement pair fit better than the original pair she ordered. The pros for these boots are that they look really good and they are leather! If you can find a pair that fit your feet and are comfortable and you can put them on, go for it!

Size up and they're perfect
Bought these on a whim with pretty low expectations along with another pair of boots. Both were ordered in my normal size. The other brand came and fir great. These not so much, the taper at the ankle is pretty tight so my foot might have fit but I couldn't get my foot into the boot. I were a size 7.5 or 8 typically. I ended up returning the first pair and repurchased sizing up. The larger size ot perfect. The boots are super cute comfortable to wear day to day. My feet are squeezed or squished in these but they still feel secure and supportive. Just make sure to size up!
