A Decent Reproduction: You'd never know unless you tried the real thing!

TLDR: If you're looking for a pair of boots for life, these ain't those. These are excellent reproductions though, and at the price point (I paid $113) an excellent value for the quality of materials and workmanship, reproduction or not (more on that later). I gave 5 stars because these are very decent boots at a very decent price.Rothco has a niche in their reproduction boot offerings: They cost a little more than similar reproductions, but are much higher quality. Superior (US made) boots will cost 2-5x as much as the Rothco boot ... but are also of higher quality than the Rothco boot. It is *personal preference* whether the US made boots are WORTH the premium price. These jump boots are very inexpensive compared to the US made 'Paratrooper' Jump Boots, but check off most of the 'boxes' of the US-made boots. Brass nails, storm welt, replaceable heel and sole, steel shank, spit-shineable durable leather, all [check]. Even upon close inspection they very much look like Corcoran/HH Brown/ etc. jump boots. The *weight difference* between the Rothco and the 'original' is astonishing though - for me, the weight means thicker and more durable construction/materials. For those that don't plan on invading Europe by air, the extra weight might just be extra weight. My Rothco jump boots were about a half-size larger than the same-size Corcoran 975 and 1550 Jump Boots (so *not* the Munson last), and maybe because boots of this type of construction need time, effort, and use to form-fit around the feet. One could wear the Rothco boots immediately. One cannot wear Corcoran 'new boots' and walk extensively without being a masochist.

If you wear a 13... Order an 11 for rothco

Great boots. I've bought rothcos before. I wear a 13... Following suggestions, I ordered a size smaller (12). Still too big. Just ordered these boots in an 11. Fits perfectly. When you get these... Put on thick socks... Put leather conditioner in the inside of the boot upper and heel... Put the boots on... Grab a hair dryer, set to hot... Warm the outside leather of the boot (one at a time) when your foot feels warm, shut of the hair dryer and put liberal amounts of leather conditioner on the whole outside of the boot. Then do the other boot... Lace up and walk for an hour. After that... Recondition the outside... An hour later use mink or coconut oil on the outside of the boots... This will help them from cracking and speed up the break in process. There are lots of methods out there, this one has always worked for me. Hope this helps :)

Gorgeous!

Like the military issue (with no zipper), but a more comfortable sole, all ready for spit polishing. Good quality boot, high top for added ankle support and foul weather. Highly recommend!

These are a size 10 but too big for me

These are supposed to be a size 10, but they're really big. Feels more like an 11 but really narrow. Might try a different size in the future but will be returning these today.

Not worth the price in any way.

Dont buy these by any case theyre made of fake leather except for the tongue and they barely have any traction in the sole, only good point is by how they looks and theyre kinda comfortable. For even less money you can get rockys paratrooper boots with side zipper and logger style sole that are made of real leather.

Damn fine boots

These are some of the best boots of this type I have ever come across. For context these would be the 9th or 10th pair I have bought over the years.
