Fit a little big but decent

As a Federal tech mechanic for the NG I love these. Easy in easy out comfy but wouldn’t go to drill in these. They work great in my shop but as an artillery man I wouldn’t wear these in the field.

Such a lite boot, I feel like I’m wearing shoes!

There is so much I like about this boot, I will get to the only 2 reasons why this review is not 5 stars first. Like with most, if not all side zip boots, they are advertised as being able to take the boot off and put it on very quick because of the zipper. False, for a couple of reasons. First off, these laces are so long, I have to wrap them around the top of the boot just to keep them from hanging comically down to the ground, so you have to untie the laces just to be able to unzip them. Also, if you tighten the boot like you should be so it fits well, there is no way to get the boot zipped back up when you put it back on, you have to loosen the laces. Also, after the first few times of wedding the boots, the zipper is hard to unzip for some reason. And the second reason is that they do not offer 1/2 sizes. I tried a 10 and my foot was sloppy in them, so I went down to a 9. The 9 is still ever so slightly big, just barely, if they would have had an 8 1/2, I would have went with it and then broken the boot in a bit. I’ve contemplated getting them wet and weeeing them out in the sun to shrink them and fit them to my foot.Now on to the good! Despite the complaint that the side zip does not work as advertised, it is still helpful. It makes the boot easier to get in and off without having to feel like you are going to dislocate your ankle getting your foot in and out, like with most military style boots. This boot is so light weight, it feels like I’m wearing shoes, even with them being safety toed boots! From the second I put them on, they are extremely comfortable, I’ve been wearing them every day for work since I got them and there was no break in period. They are still just as comfortable and they have never caused one second of pain while wearing them. That could be because they are ever so slightly big. And lastly, these are great quality! I’ve been wearing them daily for work outside in the dirt walking a few miles minimum in them every day, and these things have held up very good!I’m very happy with these boots and I highly recommend them!

Leather on boot is awfully fragile. I work in office setting/Emergency department lots of walking but no real rough terrain or contact. Toe and top of foot on boot has two tears from unknown sources.

Looks nice, but very disappointed and severely lacking

I bought these for my son for work. They do have a composite toe, which he needed. The side zipper is nice, and they look sharp. If you’re just looking for a casual boot to wear occasionally it’ll work, but if you need a work boot made to last, get something else! He wore them appropriately 5 weeks @ 5 days a week for 5-6 hours a day. The arch support is already completely broken down, and he needs new boots to work in. He is a stone cutter for landscaping stone so he’s on his feet. These are absolutely not made for endurance! I’ll pay a higher price for a name I know will last. Overall, very disappointed and a waste of money!
