Comfortable

I am using the boots for the new AF OCP requirement. I wanted to try zipper boots and these don't disappoint. Makes getting ready quick.... Thees boots are very comfortable. I am super picky about fit of shoes especially boots. Glad I tried them never had this brand before.

Immediately returned.

I was convinced these were the best boots I'd find under $100. That may be the truth, but my advice is to just put your $100 aside and wait until next payday to get a better brand.First off: manufacturer warranty is only 30 days. (You won't find that information on the Amazon listing and you'll even struggle to find it on the manufacturer website). Even expensive boots get broken rivets and busted zippers. So you're taking a big chance here.Second: sizing is kind of large. I have had Bates, Danner, and Rocky brands and have always been a size 11. So I ordered size 11. After lacing them up and taking all the slack out of the laces I possibly could, these still folded and flopped like I was wearing size 12 wides.Third: build quality. These are built in China. Not that Chinese manufacturing is always bad, mind you, but the low build quality was immediately evident with these boots. There is glue smeared on the leather upper in various places, making them look pretty bad (and rendering them completely unserviceable with regards to uniform inspections). Additionally, the laces are loosely woven and not the right color. The first impression was so bad, I had to immediately return them.I have a friend who owns a pair of Rothcos he got from a brick and mortar store. They look and fit much better than what I received, so maybe my experience was a fluke. Can't recommend these boots at all, unfortunately.

Not great, but not bad.

These particular boots do not look exactly like the photo which is a bit deceiving. Color wise they’re much more muted and not a true coyote brown. The laces themselves are not coyote brown either. They’re a cheap braided off white and brown. Luckily I had coyote brown laces from old boots that fit these ones. Without them they would not be AFI 36-2903 compliant. They’re quite stiff and don’t feel like they’ll be too durable but luckily I fly a desk so these won’t get too much wear and tear. In terms of arch support these really don’t have any but the insoles are easily removed and replaced with a better insole. Wearing them around the house they’re not uncomfortable. They’re going to take some breaking in for sure.
