Cute enough for town, tough enough for mud.
We’ve become a little obsessed with this brand of boots in our family. Between the Hunthor hunting boots and the work boots, we’ve had good luck with them, so when my wife needed something specifically for the muddy, rainy driveways on our property, we decided to try their women’s rubber boots.She normally wears an 8.5 in this brand, but this style only comes in whole sizes. I ordered the 9, and I’m glad I did, this particular boot fits more like an 8.5 with just enough room for a thicker sock. The lower half is solid rubber, and from mid‑calf up the material switches to a stretchy rubber fabric blend that feels almost spandex infused. That stretch gives her enough room to tuck her pants in without squeezing her calves. They did rub a little when she wore only socks, but not at all when she tucked in her jeans.The rubber has a lightly textured finish, and the upper stretch panel makes the boots feel more flexible than typical all rubber styles. They include a steel shank for support, though you’d never notice it while wearing them. The footbed is sturdy yet surprisingly lightweight, she said they don’t feel like she’s walking with “stones on her feet” the way some heavy duty boots do.I ordered her the black pair with the green gingham top. The gingham is a light sage green mixed with beige and cream, adding a subtle, fashionable touch for anyone who wants something a little more fun than a plain boot. This style also comes in two other color options: black with a camo top and solid black.The traction is excellent without collecting a pound of mud. Mud rinses off easily with a hose or even just wiping them on the grass, and she hasn’t had any issues with slipping in the muck. They’re waterproof enough that she can stand in a shallow creek without getting wet.They stand 16 inches tall, and on her 5'8" frame with long legs, they hit just below the knee, high enough for protection but not so tall that they dig into the back of her knees when she bends.There’s a pull tab at the top of the boot. She wishes it were a little wider because it’s hard to get her fingers into it, but the boots slide on easily enough that it’s not a real issue. There’s also a heel kick‑off ledge on the back. Using her other foot to press against it didn’t help much, but the boots slid off effortlessly with a boot jack.We can't wait to see the next boot styles they come up with.

Review of "Hunthor Rubber Boots for Women with Steel Shank, Waterproof 6mm Neoprene Rain Boots" -These are some heavy duty and very protective boots! They are very comfortable and true to sizing. They keep your feet dry and warm, with the heavy-duty rubber and neoprene construction. They are well made, with excellent quality materials, and were built to last.The full sole steel insert is an excellent addition to protect your whole sole from hard or sharp objects and also helps ensure steady footing. The soles have thick, deep, tread, providing a good solid traction.The only complaint is that the area around the calves is slightly tight on me. It's not horrible, just enough to remind me that it's there. The rest of the boot is incredibly comfortable. The other thing to note, is they take a little bit of work to remove since there is no zipper and get somewhat of a suction effect if you try to just pull them off. You have to roll them down a bit and wiggle as you push the heel down with your other foot. Overall, these things aren't too big a deal for me, and they are still great boots.

Very comfortable, rugged, and stays dry
I got these for my wife. She wanted new boots, because her winter boots are not high enough for deep snow and when we go to camping or hiking. None of her other boots are sturdy enough for Mud Season, when all unpaved roads turn into a mud river.She loves these boots because they are warm and waterproof. The boots are comfortable and also have a steel shank, so she won't hurt her feet if she accidentally steps on a large branch while she's walking through the woods. These boots go up to her knees and have a deep tread.The boots are heavier than her other boots but these have a steel shank, a heavy duty sole, are rubberized and go up much higher.Within a day she adjusted to the additional weight. She especially likes these because they are very comfortable to walk in.The boots also have a kick-off lug on the heel which makes them easier to remove.We got a half-size bigger than her normal shoe size which worked out great because they had enough extra room to wear extra thick winter socks and that makes the boots fit snugly and are still comfortable.
