Exactly what I was looking for
Everyone is looking for their own unique needs when buying shoes. I live in a rural area with no sidewalks and lots of dirt and gravel. I was looking for something I could slip into for outside in the yard and walking my dog. Most everything is made of a lightweight mesh, which would get wet and dirty fast. I had a pair of Ryka water aerobics shoes years ago and remembered they fit well and were of good quality. I found these and thought I would try them out. The description said they were for “light hiking and walking”, which is exactly what I was looking for. They are super comfortable, sturdy for walking on uneven ground, and can be wiped off easily when needed. The fit is true to what I normally wear. They aren’t too tight or too loose, the length is perfect for my normal size 8.5, my toes have plenty of room, the heel doesn’t slip when I walk, and they have good arch support, even for my deformed arthritic feet. It isn’t exactly “the look” I was going for, since I mostly wear yoga/sweat/running pants. But since I live in a rural area, where no one sees me, and at this stage of my life, where comfort and function overrides fashion, they’ll work just fine. Since they are being discontinued, I ordered a second pair for when these wear out.
