The fit! The performance!

True to size, attractive design and absolutley comfortable and perfect for water aerobics. No strain or pain after intense aerobics due to the support and fit that can be individualized with velcro straps. The hold up well without showing signs of wear with daily water use. Love these shoes!

Excellent for water aerobics!

I had been experiencing foot pain during water aerobics, so decided I needed supportive shoes...and the difference was immediate! A huge reduction in foot pain and they dry very easy with the removable insole. I've recommended these to other people in the pool, and they are just as happy! All the way worth it.

Good water aerobic shoe…but

I like that these use Velcro instead of laces that constantly come undone in the water. They don’t fit as tight as laces but are comfortable in the water. And that’s the problem. They don’t fit as snug as the ones with the laces so if you have plantar fasciitis like I do they can make your feet hurt. As much as I like the Velcro I went back to the Rykas with the laces so I can get a better fit and not have my feet hurt.

Velcro strap is a nice improvement

Ryka water shoes are a must for stability & support doing water aerobics classes in the shallow water. If you rinse them well after daily use & allow for air drying they hold up for many months of use.I use 2 pairs and alternate between uses. The Velcro strap is a superior feature because the elastic laces break down in the chlorine & loosenMaking the fit more difficult over time. The well designed arch support is like no other brand of shoe.Any shoe can be useful to protect the feet from pebble textured pool surfaces but the longevity & added features of this Ryka make the cost worth it.

nice for the shower too!

I have tendon issues in my foot and ankle. Walking without shoes in the shower made this worse and I could barely walk the next day after needing a shower. I bought a size bigger than I wear in regular non-water shoes and these work great! LOVE the arch support. The bigger size made easier on and off when the shoes were wet. The top of my foot needed the extra room for a pain free use of the shoes. Would recommend!

Great shoes

These fit great, true to size. Good arch support, drain well, and dry overnight. Have had them several weeks now. Wear them 5 days a week for class so far they have held up well.

So wide and straps too long!

Since I wear Rekate water shoes daily for water aerobics - for years - I bought these because they have Velcro straps rather than laces. Laces always get untied in the water and when I get out of pool, I sometimes trip. Plus harder to put on and off. I figured Velcro straps were brilliant but the straps are about three inches too long. When I adjust to keep foot secure and ankle tight, the Velcro part goes way past the matching Velcro strip so they don’t stick. And I have wide feet! This is a serious flaw. I had to bring to a shoe repair and pay &24 to cut the strap and sew on Velcro to the new end and they are still a bit too wide. Waste of $100. Never again. Now I need to spend more money to buy the lace up Rykas. Not happy.
