After doing alot of research on comfortable shoes, I found these and the reviews were convincing to me that these are the best shoes for me. I just received my order today, I put them on and I am impressed. They are lightweight, so comfortable, and a perfect fit. I look forward to wearing these everywhere and will buy again.
This is probably my tenth pair of this shoe, or the Ultimate. This is less expensive than the Ultimate, and somewhat less well padded. I regularly walk daily 3-5 miles in these, comfortably. At about the 6 month mark, my big toe starts poking through. A good value for that many miles.
OK, I usually don’t write reviews but I felt I needed to this time. I’ve been looking for a shoe to walk. I usually order a 6W or 6WW, so I was nervous that it did not come in an extra wide. When I tried the shoes on, they felt a little snug in the toe so I loosened the laces and now they fit perfectly. I ended up ordering a 6.5W as reviews that I had read, said they ran a little short. With the mesh on the top, there was no rubbing on my toes. These shoes are very comfortable and have a minimum arch. I have flat feet so I could feel the arch but it didn’t bother me. If you’re looking for a comfortable lightweight shoe, this is the shoe for you! If you are looking for a good heavy duty walking or running shoe, you need to spend the money and get a pair, as this is not going to work for you. I hope this review helps!

The fit of the shoe works well for indoors. I bought several of these pairs in various colors over the last four years and really wanted to love them but for outdoor walking they just don't work. Here's why: walking at the park or along trails you feel every rock, even the smallest rock, so the cushioning for these shoes just isn't enough, they do not provide warmth in cold weather and you really feel the cold and if you walk on freshly watered or rained on grass the shoes will become soaking wet even if the grass is only lightly wet. Conclusion...okay for indoor wear and comfy as house shoes due to flat floor surfaces and comfortable indoor temperature although I wouldn't use these as work shoes, not enough cushioning. Not comfortable for outdoors in particular in cold, damp weather and whenever you walk on rough or rocky surfaces. The shape of the shoe is great; however, poor cushioning and not weather resistant (not even a little bit, you might as well go for a walk in your socks) doesn't work for me. Would not recommend as an outdoor shoe.
My wife says they’re a really good shoe. She’s been wearing them and her feet doesn’t hurt when she’s done and they look really nice.
The shoes arrived on Feb 11/12, today is Feb 18, it's been a week and they are already worn out. When they first arrived I wore them for the evening at the park, they fit great, were comfortable, light weight, and felt good, albeit a little thin-ish feeling. I should have known something was up when I took them off that night and the "memory foam" sole inserts came out with my foot (see pictures). Then we left on vacation to Vegas where I wore them for 4 days straight. By the second day I felt the thinness of the "memory foam" sole, the arch support went away, and my feet started to hurt. By the third day my shin splints were flared up and it was extremely difficult to walk around. Since they were the only sneakers I brought, I was out of luck. When we got home I looked into the shoes and I could see the seems. Now I realize the "memory foam" insole is not properly secured, it's laying inside. I'm going to try and return them to Amazon, as I found out Ryka doesn't stand behind their product. Their return policy is on the customer to pay to return, and then they decide if they accept of reject the claim, so there is no assurance after we spend more money to send back their shoddy product.
