Perfect design
If I could give these boots 10 stars I would. They are exactly what I was looking for. Well made too. I wanted a warm boot, and they are (I tend to have cold feet). I wanted the boot to fit and be as supportive to walk in cold weather as my Ryka sneakers, but not stiff like a hiking boot. These boots are sooooo comfortable and supportive. And it feels like walking on extremely high quality foam but also you feel completely contacted with the ground. I haven't tested them in rain, so can't comment on the quality of the water resistance. But, they are great boots!!!!!!

Great for narrow feet
I have narrow feet and heels and these fit well. I didn’t even need to add a shoe insert like I more have to. They feel like an athletic shoe. These boots are very flexible and very comfortable. I replaced the laces the no tie shoe laces. This way when I’m working in my yard I can easily slip them off before tracking dirt into the house. The no tie shoe laces also make the shoe fit tighter against my skinny foot. Overall a great boot at a good price.

The Best Hiking Shoes I Have Found!
I was trying to purchase a pair of hiking boots for a trekking trip in Uganda. I ordered 10 different pairs from Amazon, from known brands to unknown and none fit or were comfortable. I had to return all. I came across these Ryka's by accident. I have worn Ryka's since the late 80's for sneakers but didn't have any idea they had hiking boots and shoes. I am now the proud owner of these hiking boots and a pair of eco trek hiking shoes. The boots are so light weight and comfortable. They wear more like a sneaker. They were durable and the treads perfect. I usually wear a size 6 and ordered both the 6 and 6.5. They both would work but I kept the 6's. Unlike the other boot companies, these are true to US sizes and not EU/ UK sizes which I cannot wear. I highly recommend and will not hesitate to purchase again.

I hiked four national parks in four days with these right out of the box! No break-in needed. These weren't the first hikers I bought but they are the ones I chose to wear on my trip. (The sketchers are still in the box) My others weighed twice as much and were half as comfortable. It was like putting on my most comfortable sneakers but with the support and grip I needed to hike the Grand Canyon. My feet never fatigued or ached even after an eight and a half mile hike. No Grip and Poor Ankle Support
I wanted to like these shoes but I kept slipping and fell a couple times while wearing these on my hike. There is no grip whatsoever and I will not be wearing them again. I also was very disappointed with the ankle support, they just felt like a regular shoe.
