A perfect shoe, esp. if you have plantar fasciitis
I have problem feet and I judge this to be a near perfect shoe. It ticks all the boxes. Very comfortable but not over-cushioned, which is bad for both plantar fasciitis AND stability. Check. Neutral orientation, without correction for either over-pronation OR supination? Check. Sufficient heel to toe drop (again, to prevent PF flare-ups)? Check. A wide width that also gives extra room on the outside of the foot for a Tailor's Bunion? Check. Now here's something amazing; I don't need my orthotics with these shoes, The double arch support from the insole and from the foot bed itself is sufficient, and that's good because if you wear orthotics, they won't fit in this model shoe. That’s right. That extra foot bed arch prevents using orthotics, at least mine. But hey, not needing them because the shoe does the work is great! I could go on because I LOVE these shoes! Oh, they run very big. I usually wear a size 10 but the 9 1/2 is actually roomy on me. I have already ordered a second pair and hope Ryka offers more colors because I’ll buy even more!
